I was contacted by "Mr. Michael Harrison" from company name Exponential Impact.

Here is the initial text: "Good Day, This is Mr. Michael Harrison from Exponential Impact. I believe I'm in contact with First name Last name?"

I also received a suspicious email similar to the previous poster with a similar process in Microsoft Teams. They used different names, but after reading their experience, it is most likely the same scam group.

This experience is as follows and occured within the same week:

I recieved an email from Stefano Fabrin • [email protected], the human resources team at Generali. They gave me contact information to discuss opportunities such as Remote Administrative Assistant, Remote Online Customer Service/Hospitality Specialist, Remote Data Entry Clerk, and Remote Online Chat Representative.

Here is the contact information provided to me:

"How to Proceed:

Connect with HR Manager via Microsoft Teams:https://teams.live.com/l/invite/FAAZ7oc5cHKh-saygs

Add HR Manager Mr. Clerk Morgan using his email: [email protected]

Interview Schedule: Immediate availability is recommended.

We look forward to discussing this exciting opportunity with you.

Best Regards,

Human Resources Team

Generali"

They said they found my resume on Indeed.com and reached out to me to initiate an interview.

I was contacted via text message by a Mr. Michael Harrison from Terabase Energy advising their recruitment team "shortlisted" me based on my resume which he obtained from Indeed.com. He advised the position was "Administrative Assistant. The pay is $38/hr and training is $25/hr. This is strictly an online work from home job, I believe working from home won't be a problem for you? " He then inquired "Do you have Microsoft Teams App to proceed with this job and interview session scheduled for this precise time ?" And then asked for my Microsoft Team email ID when I advised I do have the app. I then inquired as to why the position was not listed on the company website or Indeed, and the individual stopped talking to me.

I was contacted by Michael Harrison, in the same style as everyone else here. I created a Microsoft Teams account in order to interview with Hillary Chambers. The interview was on a Saturday and was all over chat, no voice or video. I didn’t have to provide any information that wasn’t already on my CV. At the end of the interview, I was pronounced the best candidate for the job, but I’d hear for sure on Monday. I was a little suspicious by this time and plugged in “Michael’s” phone number, which led me to this page. I also emailed the REAL Terabase Energy, and the COO confirmed that neither Michael nor Hillary worked for them. On Monday, I messaged Hillary over Teams asking for a status update on my application. She informed me that I’d gotten the job. I then sent her a screenshot of the email from the Terabase COO, and she immediately signed off,

Got a text message from “Michael Harrison” stating my name and asking if he was in contact with the correct person. I had a bad feeling about it, I’ve been applying online for almost a year now and have ran into more than my fair share of scammers. I copied the number and sure enough found this post right away. So annoying.

I received an email from [email protected]. They said they found me via indeed, and would like to schedule an interview. They included an attachment, which can be found below. One section of the attachment includes information about obtaining the at home office equipment, which is where the red flags raised for me. I then received a text message from 410-934-2153, stating the following: "Good day, this is Mr. Michael Harrison from Fold Health I believe I'm in contact with S**** C***?"

I was sent an email and went through a “text” interview and was “offered” the position of data entry and was sent a check through email and deposited it for materials to start a at home setup it was then when I was told to send money to multiple different people that I really began to be suspicious of this “so called job” I called my bank and they said it was a fraudulent check.
