A guy called to say that our business was moving offices. He kept asking when we were moving and that they could help. I disconnected before I heard more details.

- San Diego, CA, USA • Nov 13, 2024

Calls and asks about upcoming business move. Typical scammer.

- Sacramento, CA, USA

Caller mumbled through who she was (if she said a company name I couldn't understand it) and she asked if our business was planning on moving. This is the third time I've gotten a call like this within a year. First time I managed to capture the phone number. When I started to respond "please stop calling and asking..." she terminated the call. Does that count as asking to be removed from their list? Why are these people calling random businesses asking if we are planning on moving?

- Columbia, MD, USA

Called in stating they were calling about our office's upcoming move. Mostly just confusing -we are moving some work spaces around- but it takes a while to realize they are soliciting, or when that is cut off they are trying to find out information about the business.

- Atlanta, GA, USA

Called asking about our firms upcoming move date, after I told him he must have the wrong number, he asked if we were opening another branch location. I told him no and ended the call.

- Kennesaw, GA, USA

Ronnie from Growth Index Group called my office to discuss our upcoming office move. I confirmed that there is a plan to move in the next two months but stated that their corporate team is handling it and they already have partners in place. Ronnie asked for the name of the person in charge, which I identified as on a local level. Ronnie also requested the number of office employees involved in the move. When Ronnie offered to send information about their services, Trent declined, stating that they do not need help facilitating the move and already have project managers handling it.

- Sun Valley, CA, USA

They said that there was a survey done in our area that our company is looking to move and they wanted to confirm it so they could share the information with their customers. I asked who filled out this survey and she couldn't tell me and just said it's a "random survey." So when I pressed how they could've gotten the idea that we wanted to move, she couldn't answer. We just resigned a 2 year lease with our building so it's an obvious lie.

- San Diego, CA, USA

They called asking if we were planning to move within the next year so that they could "send this information to our vendors"

They used names of people who no longer worked a the company, and had the address of the old building from years ago
