Received a call and caller said he was from Chase Fraud Department. Explained that they saw a charge to a Walmart in North Carolina. I explained I was in **** ***** Texas. He then started asking some unusual questions about how I used by account, how often I check it, and more. Then he claimed there was a transfer request of 38k and another for 43k that they were tracing. He asked how much I had in the account and by then I kept saying I was suspicious about the call and the number. "Peter" said he would call me back and did from (877) 691-8086 and started by "apologizing" for not using the 877 number to start with. I said this number seemed equally unusual because he kept asking questions about how I used the account and referring to me as "Mr. First Name" over and over. I hung up, called the number on the back of my card and in the course of 3 transfers, was told there was no suspicious charges on my account at all. Chase has a feature where you can lock your card - mine is not locked.
