I do home improvement and have received text messages to have work done at a house the customer is buying. The houses are bank owned or on the market for a long time. They are always out if state, text only numbers and they are in the hospital for some reason or another. This way they don't have to meet face to face. They will pay with a credit card, most likely stolen, and will need you to send cash back to either them or a third party for payment of some hold on the property and they won't be able to get the cash any other way.
