It all started around Feb. 17, 2025 with a numerous amount of phone calls by a David Lopez at 808-301-1489. When I finally answered, he told me I was a winner of $17,500.00 and that if I approved of this, all I had to do was open an account at a bank and it would be deposited in it. There would be a $25,500.00 IRS Federal tax/fee owed before transaction and the rest would be taken care of. I questioned the validity of all he was saying but he said over and over it was right and legal, ... I asked for all this to be sent to my Email and he said there was one sent. I told him I didn't get it or missed it somehow and if he could send me another. He was very resistive of this and asked me to check my Email again. After, he called the next day and I said he still needed to send me it because I still couldn't find it. He reluctantly did and received and opened it up. It was from his "Secretary" Dorthy Wright at [email protected]. I immediately saw a lot of the congradulation documents had been copied and paisted from different sources such as my banks' logo, a fake bank check, and a IRS tax sheet with a Presidential seal along the side of it. I reported this to the bank because of the use of their logo, ... and they said this was complete fraud and all the logos, bank check, ... were outdated anyway. They submitted this scam to their fraud dept. and I avoided any calls from 808-301-1489 for a week or more until I accendently opened up the phone and had to confront David Lopez. He asked again if I was ready to recieve my winnings and I told him this was all fake and I was reporting him and this scam operation. He repeatily said this was legit and and repeatedly asked if I was going to move forward with this (With no change in his voice tone, ...). I said, "no" numerous times until he finally said that, "I wasn't interested" and hung up. It has been several weeks now since that last phone call and haven't heard anything from him. Amen!
