- Moreauville, LA, USA

Our company has been a customer of QuickBooks/Intuit for a while now and there are a couple of things that happened to us in April and June and almost happened again in August of 2019. In January of 2019--$750 was deducted from our checking account from Intuit for Payroll Subscription. I called Intuit the beginning of February to see exactly what I was paying for and the person I spoke with told me it was a Payroll Subscription. In April of 2019, I kept on getting popup's when I would open QuickBooks telling me that we need to update our QuickBooks Edition because I had been using the 2016 edition. That's when things went wrong. For some reason it would not let us update so a web address of: [email protected] came up and I proceeded to chat with someone about helping me install the new version. I then had a doctor appt. so my coworker called a QuickBooks number from google.com and spoke with a guy named Sam Ext # 148. He asked to sign in so he can help with the problem. He made an invoice with QuickBooks/Intuit in the amount of $949.00 for updating to the new version but we had to send the check to WAMP Infotech, LLC. Everything seemed to be working fine and in June of 2019 we received another popup on QuickBooks saying that in order to keep our Payroll Services and Quickbooks Pro 2019, we had to pay for data services. I called Sam's number(thinking it was intuit) and asked him why I needed to pay for data services. He said in order for my company files to work I needed data services so I took the 3 years of services for the amazing price of $989.29. I send him another check and all was well again until August. I kept getting a popup everytime I logged into QuickBooks saying "The file you specified cannot be opened. Make sure that it is not a read only file. The Windows error was "The file Exists". Again we called Intuit/QuickBooks and this time a man named Victor answered telling us that we had to pay $900 plus to get QuickBooks technical support in order for him to look into the problem. I could not open QuickBooks at all but was very skeptical about the nonstop costs of 900 plus dollars every few months and called my computer technician. He said "You have been scammed, don't go no further". Both checks cleared the bank so nothing can be done about our lost money. We do know now not to call this number anymore and that QuickBooks only drafts directly out of our account and they will never call us.

We just received a phone call this morning on October 25, 2019 from a man named Eddie (same number as Sam and Victor) stating our technical support was expiring and we needed to update our support. I hung up the phone because I knew it was from the scammers just using a different name. He then called me right back. He stated that he needed to get into my computer so he could update my support. I asked him to give me his email address and he stated "www.intuit.com". I remembered a lady from QuickBooks telling me that they never call so I said, "NO! You are not real and I'm not going to allow you to get a hold of my computer." I then hung up.
