On 4-14-2025 Carole Landry reached out to me via telephone stating that I qualified for a personal loan of $15,000, but because my credit score was not in the best condition, I had two options. 1. To get a co-signer. 2. To provide collateral payment. I chose option two, collateral payment, which was $900. I sent the money by money gram on 4-15-2025. Before sending over the money I filled out the loan agreement, sent over pay stubs, and my ID. Once they received payment, the next day 4-16-2025 I was told there was a reassessment made on my account and they saw discrepancies were noted across the three credit bureaus which made me a higher risk borrower. Because of this they stated that the need an extra $900. I explained to them that was too much money so we came to an agreement that I would have to pay an extra $400 instead of the full $900 and their company paid the difference. So at this point I am in the whole $1300. The payments were supposed to cover my first 6 months of payment. Once payment was received I was told that I should receive the funds directly in my account on April 23, 2025 by 9:00am pst. The day comes, no money received and no phone calls. I called Calvin Taylor, which one of the ppl that I was working with and he said that there ended up being a “border tax” of $1500 which caused the delay. They then sent me numerous emails saying that I can continue with this lender or they could find me a different lender and send me a refund of all the money that I sent. They explained that refund would take up to 30 days. I told them that 30 days was unacceptable and demanding a refund earlier. They sent me an email stating that they are able to send my refund by May 7 ( who knows if I’ll even receive the refund) by direct deposit. They ended up finding a new lender for me. They explained to me that they explained to the lender about my struggles with the previous lender so they portrayed that this lender was more understanding and offered me a larger loan of $20,000. And instead of me sending the new Leander $900 in collateral, I only had to send $500. Before sending the money, I had a very clear conversation with Calvin to insure that the business side of everything was clear and once I send the $500 there should not be any delays of discrepancies. Calvin assured me that everything is good and I will be receiving my deposit of $20,000 on April 30th and my refund by May 7 of $1300. Of course April 30th comes and no answer from anyone from the company. I left numerous voicemails and emails and no response what so ever. So now I am down, all together $1800. This company and their workers are a disgrace. Calvin Taylor, Carole Landry, and Paul McCleod, if that is even their real names, should all be ashamed from stealing from people in need of extra funds. They are liars! If any one is reading please do not let this company or any other company similar do this to you. Always trust your gut feeling!
