Has anyone had a good experience? Has anyone contributing feedback here been scammed by this method? I got the same thing as above but looked for it, mystery shopper, as it was recommended by a blog I follow.

Definitely not doing anything with this check though. vendshopper.com connects to a company called alta360research.com which checks out on BBB. Maybe I'll call them to check out what appears to be a sub-contractor of sorts.

Name of Scammer: Jesse Peisner with VendShopper

I applied with VendShopper to be a secret shopper. The website indicates that it is associated with the ScamPulse.com so I assumed it was safe. When I received the check in the mail to begin my assignment I immediately deposited it. I made the poor decision to use my own money to complete the assignment ($2,000) because I trusted the source and the ScamPulse.com label on the website. I just received notification that the check was returned.

Additionally, I felt very pressured by Jesse Peisner during this assignment. He gave me false timelines and made me feel like I hadn't read all the instructions carefully (which is why I proceeded to purchase the items for $2000). It is my fault for trusting someone I didn't know because I really wanted to make some extra money to support my family.

Sent me a cashiers check for $2,390.73 and I was supposed to buy 4 American express gift cards in the amount of $500 and $45 worth of product at any of the named stores: Walmart, Walgreens, CVS etc... and keep $295 for myself. Take pictures of the recipts and front and back of gift cards and email the pictures to them.

Received an express package in mail with a letter and a "check" for $2390.73. Told me to go directly to my bank and cash it and then go to 2 different stores as a secret shopper. Was to but gift cards totaling $2000 and groceries for $45. Was to keep balance for next day use. Also keep gift cards until told to mail back.

It's a scam. Because you cash the check, buy the gift cards. Send them numbers back to the company, whi then use th e numbers to buy things, then the bank tells you it is a bad check.
