Got a message in the mail around May 2023. It was exactly the same as these ones listed above: an urgent, final notice to renew expired new car warranty, including a lot of the information about my car. I have a disability and have trouble with paperwork; I had also recently had my car repossessed and wanted to keep up with the responsibilities I thought I needed to. I should have known, should have checked the website, checked the name, and done some due diligence. They sent me the insurance card, which seemed a little flimsy and cheap, and it was under my nickname and not my full, legal name. I got charged for 200+ dollars a few days ago and called to cancel. They didn't give me a confirmation number, so we'll see.

Looking over the website again, I see lots of stock photos. The big tell is that the graphic of their coverage is copy-pasted from the original image from another business. Compare the photos below.

I feel like an [censored], but that's how they do this. Preying on our weaknesses and insecurities.

I was supposed to get a refund for an extended warranty on a vehicle I sold. Been waiting for 10 months. They have lied to me and said they sent a check but they didn’t and they keep giving me the run around. Terrible company!

They send a final notice about a vehicle warranty that you can buy from them. They use you actual Vin number to sound legitimate.

My husband got not one, but 2 letters that read "Final Notice" saying that our factory warranty has expired and that we have until November 8th to mention this letter for a $200 dollar discount. It's funny because last month we had to October 8th for that $200 discount.

This letter full-heartedly looks like a bill, but in tiny letters half way down the page it does say that this is not a bill. The entire page gives off the feeling of a fear of missing out mentality as well as some sort of repercussions if you do not respond.

I called them to take us off the mailing list and they said that, in that case, that means we mean to cancel our warranty, trying to scare us into submitting to the scheme. An easy, but effective, scammer tell is if they try and make you make an extremely seemingly impactful decision right now, instead of thinking it over. Warranties would never give you that kind of ultimatum.

In addition, the salesman tried to explain that even though they are a 3rd party warranty company, they do work directly with Toyota. In tiny print on the bottom of the letter, it clearly states that "Vehicle Vanguard Armor is not affiliated with any auto dealer or manufacturer." Plus, I read reviews.

The thing is, my husband is leasing the car directly through Toyota. He doesn't buy the warranty until it is actually paid for. In addition, if there was a problem with a Toyota warranty, Toyota would call you themselves, not send you a monthly demand for money through the mail.

After I told him that we are not interested in his offer and how he's not making any sense, he promptly hung up on me.

This person was an extremely good salesman. So good, that I am sure that multiple people that have asked to be removed have actually submitted to his demands. And that scares me. There are many people that are getting taken advantage of, especially during the holiday season and this is just not right. This company needs to be shut down.

Never conduct business with these types. Here is your number 1 clue: You are being sent mail that replicates the format of the IRS by a company that does not even list a physical address in their oh so important mail. Here's why. After they burn you and took your money and don't pay claims like they said. You're going to want to go down there with the posse to kick some [censored] around. How do you kick the [censored] of a PO Box?
There's no suite #474 at 2312 Park Ave in Tustin, CA. That suite is about 4"X 6".
Here's what you do. Block your number, then call their 800 number and ask them for their physical address. They will not tell you! They will only give you the PO Box.
Who in their right mind would send money to someone that will not even tell you where they are located! These are the type that the Federal Trade Commission wants abolished

Day is October 14th 2021 I just received a letter in the mail from this Vanguard company and looked more into it and noticed that the stuff that they had put on this paper does not match up there's nothing accurate about the initials on the bottom there's nothing I cure it on the code that is right after property code there's nothing on there that shows anything that has to do with my vehicle the only thing that it shows that is similar to my vehicle is a 2012 Kia Forte on the top of the paper my father and my uncle are both Insurance salesmen for Farmers Insurance and have been for many years and being that I know a lot about insurance companies and everything like that I knew right away that it's a scam we need to get these people to where they have no ability to scam us my father was just recently scammed by a man who claimed to be the computer repair Matt he was however able to hack my dad's computer and laptop and we watched it right in front of us get deleted from where he was at unfortunately he got a hold of my dad's bank account all four of them and later down the road told my dad that something happened with their satellite and they needed to reimburse him made it look like they overpaid my dad by taking money from each bank account that he had into One bank account making it look like my dad add $10,000 extra in One bank account he got a hold of my dad and said I overpaid you by accident and I'm going to get in trouble however my dad didn't catch on when he said you can pay us back by gift cards my dad finally realized what he did and he was able to save about $5,000 worth out of that 10 these scammers have to go I don't want to have to worry about being scared and not knowing it and losing what little tiny money I have already hopefully we can get this under control

Received two scam letters in the mail. I am reporting both to the state for fraud, etc. I called them today and told them to take me off their mailing list.

NEVER believe them or sign up with this company. Almost did and was given a 30 day trial period before they wanted payments. Cancelled this 9 days after and they still tried to bill me for 2 months after that. Had to change cards and put a claim in with my bank as they were told to cancel within the 30 day trial period and were still trying to charge me. Spoke to a guy named "Robert Ridge" (not his real name I bet) and when I told him it was cancelled and to not contact anymore he transferred me to supervisor then hung up. DO NOT deal with these scammers.

Scammers. Don’t call them to cancel they’re fraudulent just call your credit card company And say you’ve been scammed they’ll reimburse you. Don’t even talk to those low lives they’ll do nothing to help

I got 2-3 notices in the mail. It looked as if they came from Nissan or the government. Return address said:

2019 Nissan Leaf

Official Business

Penalty for Private Use, $300

Lots of Bold, Capitalization, Font Changes, words like "Final Notice" "you will be financially liable for all repairs..." "Extremely Urgent and Time Sensitive"...

I called Nissan Finance, who I pay to lease my car; they did not know what notice this would be. I ignored it, and got another on green paper. I am well educated, English is my first language - and I was almost fooled that this was not just an advertisement for a company - this kind of advertising may really scare someone into paying this company for an expensive vehicle service contract!

I just found out that the Vanguard Vehicle Armor contract is a phishing scam, and I fell for it. I received a letter in the mail saying that this was required, and that was a lie. I have paid them $110 so far and want out of the contract. How do I get out of this? Do I do it through the Better Business Bureau? Somebody please tell me and quickly! Thanks!

I just called them today to cancel within the 30-day cancellation period. . They had called me earlier this month calling themselves "Omega Auto Care" and I needed work so I thought I'd try it out. If you haven't already, call the customer service number and they will direct you to a rep for an absurd hard sell. The rep I spoke with told me that without the warranty I'd be paying $400 for an oil change. They told me my vehicle would be "disqualified" on some non-existent state website. It was actually funny. Anyway, they finally agreed to cancel. They said my refund would be available in 7 days. If I don't receive it, I'll just dispute the charge. You can do the same thing. Good luck.

I just hung up the phone with them. Thanks for the post.

The contract is bull[censored] just stop paying them

They have called my phone over and over. I tell them to put me on no call list. Now they somehow got my address and sending my mail. Saying my factory warrenty on my 2010 audi a3 is about to expire. I never owned a 2010. I leased a 2007 but never owned it.

Letter received in mail from what appeared to from the dealership I originally purchased my vehicle from in 2016 stating my warranty was soon to expire. I called and they told me my warranty could be renewed. I purchased a warranty extension and paid the minimum payment of $180 out of a much larger sum. They processed my payment immediately. I called my dealership directly only to find my full coverage warranty was still good through another year and a half. I called Vanguard back to inform them I discovered their lie/scam and demanded an immediate refund. They tried explaining to me my warranty was not likely a full coverage warranty and that I should consider keeping what I purchased for "back up". I can't believe people like this can even sleep at night. They did refund my money within 48 hours. BEWARE!

You may report your experience to the FTC at FTC.gov or your states attorney general’s office concerning consumer scams. Important too is that federal law permits cancellation of a contract within 3 days or longer if stated in writing on the contract or by state law ( states vary). You may cancel by email, ( phone calls have no record) certified mail, fax, and it’s best to never use debit cards. Credit cards afford more rights plus you are giving con artists access to your checking balances if you use debit cards

These people have called me multiple times on my cell number and somehow they obtained my home address and are now sending me fraudulent mail. I have requested to be taken off their call list upwards of 8 times and they are now sending me fraudulent letters. This phishing scam seems to be growing and would easily fool people not aware of their surroundings and potential exposure to a phishing ring. Please look into and shut them down ASAP. They called themselves Integrity when i called the number on the phone and reached “Amanda” and not only do they have no integrity their actual business name listed is Vanguard Vehicle Armor. I do not own a 2012 Dodge Ram-I have never owned a 2012 Dodge Ram and I think these guys are in league with someone running insurance quotes because there was a time when I went and looked at a vehicle that was either a 2008 or 2012 Dodge Ram.

Me llamaron muchas veces para ofrecerme cobertura, lo absurdo es que esta cobertura me cuesta más que el auto en sí, mil gracias a todos los que me han escrito y no perderé el tiempo con estas llamadas.

They called me many times to offer me coverage, the absurd thing is that this coverage costs me more than the car itself, a thousand thanks to all those who have written and I will not waste my time with these calls.

After I renewed my registration with the Georgia Department of Driver Services, I began receiving solitiations in the mail for an extended warranty on my Jetta. The information they present about my car is incorrect and suggests Its breakdown is imminent. Thanks a lot, Georgia Driver Services....don't sell my information.
