Chris Valint and I made an agreement that he would do home improvement work on our house for the amount of $1250. We gave him a check for $350 which he requested for materials. Him and his crew came back the next day and did a small amount of the work. Before he left for the day we agreed to add having him purchase and install a front entry door. We agreed on the door and called the company to get the exact price of the door. The door total was $2076. Chris also requested an additional $500 in order to pay his crew for the day. So we gave Chris another check for $2576. He was to go to big and L right away and order the door we agreed on. He then was supposed to email or text me a copy of the receipt. That was the last time we seen him. We have had communication via phone calls and text in trying to get him to send the receipt but to no avail. He would come up with excuse after excuse. We have requested he give our money back and at first he said he would give us a money order and now he says he ordered the door and it's being delivered to our house. But he wont say where he ordered it and he also will not provide proof or a receipt. He started to pull off siding off r shed so now part of the shed is down to the wood and we have had several rainy days that has now further damaged the shed. At this point he is refusing to return our money he also refusing to finish the work and he is refusing to provide any evidence that he ordered a door.
