Received a call today from David Gray stating we should contact him. Failure to do so would result in federal criminal charges from the US Treasury. Call back # 862-800-0234

- Fair Haven, NJ, USA

I got a call from someone who had a thick accent, saying they were from the "US Treasury". I needed to call ASAP to avoid going to "magistrate court". I knew it was bogus because the Treasury Dept would never call, this is not the first time I got this call. I decided to call back and call them out on their blulff/scam. After my words, they hung up on me in the middle of talking. When I tried to call back I got a busy signal. So they must have flagged my number.

Keep getting hang up calls from Colorado. Last night he left a message. Dennis Gray impersonated a US Treasury employee and threatens us. He has a foreign accent(s). I have looked this up and there seems to be many complaints about this scam.

- Erie, PA, USA

Consumer was contacted by "Dennis" claiming he was from US Treasury. He left a message and said if consumer didn't return call, she was taking chance of facing federal charges. She was contacted from 518-380-2151.

"David Gray" called regarding the US Treasury. from 315-879-6842. Left a message on our ans. machine and said ignoring this message would result in fines from the US Treasury. I called back a few times and each time the person I spoke with had a East Indian accent. They said they had to get more information, then dropped the call.

I asked another time, why everyone at their branch of the Treasury had an Indian accent... they said, "well, you can believe we are real or not, that is up to you".

Consumer said she was contacted by someone claiming to be from US Treasury saying there was an enforcement action against her. It would involve her going in front of a magistrate or federal grand jury. If she didn't contact them immediately (5183802151) , it would be an additional federal criminal offense.

have received 4 phone calls the past few days from 202-629-9364 with a recording saying I owe money to US treasury. Calls come in all times of day including at 7:30 in morning and 4 in afternoon.

I call back and they answer in middle eastern dialect saying "United States Treasury how can I help you?" They want info from me and I tell them they are scammers and they hang up.

I have called them back a few times and each time same results or answer and when I mention scam they hang up. My brother has also received the exact same call on his home phone. disgusting scammers.

- Bronxville, NY, USA

Received voicemail from a David Gray of U.S. Treasury. Asserted matter would be turned over to Magistrate Judge or Grand Jury. Left number 703-828-0314. Called back and David Gray wasn't made available and the heavily accented woman became quite belligerent when I insisted on knowing David Gray's position and an alternative number for the U.S. Treasury. Went around in circles a bit and I hung up. Sounded like a boiler room operation. Googled "David Gray, U.S. Treasury" and was pleased for confirmation of a scam.

- Cincinnati, OH, USA

"Steve Martin" calls from the US Treasury and says to call back 202 751 8409 otherwise I might have to appear

before a Magistrate. Call them so they can help

I received a message from Steve Martin from the US Treasury. He said this is a 2nd and final attempt. Failure to call back is a federal offense and would result in being prosecuted by magistrate judge.

- Old Bridge, NJ, USA

A man with a foreign accent called me using my legal name and address claiming to be a US Treasury agent. He said there was legal action against me and that I was in a great deal of trouble. He said his name was Nathan Connor but he was clearly speaking with some type of middle eastern accent so it was a huge red flag right away. I do not owe the government any money so that was another huge red flag. When I asked him if he was a scammer, he became very belligerent and threatening. He said we were on a recorded phone line and I could not ask those kinds of questions. I informed him that this is America and it is a free country and I could speak however I pleased. As I was yelling at him he was telling g me that I would be arrested. Then he just hung up. The phone number he called from was 347-448-3997.

- North Canton, OH, USA

I received a phone call from Steve Martin with the US Treasury. He told me that this was a second attempt to collect and if I didn't reply immediately it is a federal offense and I would be prosecuted.
