We recently purchased a new home. Upon moving in we received a "FINAL NOTICE" letter from US Home Guard (Home Warranty Division - an affiliate of Warranty Global Group) that made it seem as though our home warranty (that we never purchased) was about to expire and that we must "call IMMEDIATELY as this will be our FINAL ATTEMPT TO NOTIFY YOU"... as "the property's Home Warranty may be expiring or may have already expired". The letter included our Lender information that was apparently garnered from public records making the letter seem more official and as if the insurance policy was a part of our mortgage somehow. When I called the 1-800 number I asked if there was an existing policy tied to the home. The representative did not answer the question directly and asked if we were interested in keeping it covered. I asked again the same question in a more pointed manner and again it was not answered directly and instead I was pushed to answer if I wanted to keep the home covered. When I pushed the question a third time the representative hung up.
