Same as other letters I have seen reported, mine did include a QR code and link to www.bdr-filing.us.

Every bit looks off, also, envelope titled United Business Regulation and claims to be from dc, postage appears to be out of Hicksville, NY

None of the info matches throughout and it is filled with grammar and syntax errors. Doubt English is their first language.

I own a Cleaning business and i received an email stating that if I didn't register with this company I was going to get fined $550 per day or $10,000 criminal fines. It was asking for me to do a federal filing requirement and put all my business information in their website www.brdportal.us/portal

Letter received in mail. Addressed to small business name and address. Had email address and QR code for filing. Did not list what document(s) would be required for filing. Purpose listed was to prevent finincial crimes, "this will prevent bad actors from hiding behind corporate shields". Penalty for noncompliance included fines ($500 per day, $10,000) and/or imprisonment (up to 2 years). Thankfully, Microsoft had flagged site as reported as phishing-- I did not access site after noting that warning. Letter had a seal on the upper left "business regulations department document filing division" with an american flag in the middle (not that standard american flag-- this one was wavy).

I received the letter today in the mail stating that I had to file a certain form through a QR code or at the website I listed. The website does not exist. I contacted my tax person and she stated that this is a new filing that must be done next year but that it is not due by the date on the letter which stated 12/17/23. The letter also stated that if it was not done by that date that I could be charged up to $500 a day, a $10,000 fine, or two years of jail time. The website does not exist. When i googled the phone number it was identified as a scam.

Received a letter to my business saying i had filing requirements and to go to a certain website, the website domain was shut down so i looked up on bbb, it was a scam.

I received the letter in the mail about a week ago. It says that I had to file by 12/2/23 or I would have to pay civil or criminal fines and/or imprisonment. There was no address provided. I had scanned the QR code to file but it asked for the LLE ID since I do not have it memorized I decided to just finish it later. Until tonight I decided to file on my computer and I typed in the website but it showed up as a 404 Error. I thought I was typing it in wrong but it was exactly as in the letter. I then typed it into Google and I find the ScamPulse.com website about it being a scam. I looked over the envelope and it says "United Business Regulation Washington, Districk of Columbia. Time Sensitive Mail Open Immediately" I realized that "District was spelt incorrectly.
