A debt collector claimed I had a loan for EZMoney in Houston Texas, but I am currently going through an identity fraud issue and I believed the woman using my identity received a loan through them and if I did not pay it they were issuing a warrant for my arrest so I agreed to a settlement even though the amount they told me was for $2912.19. I signed the agreement and they debited my account the $400.28. But then I kept receiving calls from multiple other debt collectors claiming the same situation but different amounts. I now believe I was scammed out of $400.28.

This place left me a voicemail and said it was the legal litigation department and if I did not return their call in 48 hours they were going to go to my home and work to serve me papers and that I needed to have valid ID ready. I called them back and told them I knew it was a scam and to take me off their list. The guy said, "ok, so you don't want to know what this is about, then just hang up and quit wasting my time." So before I hung up I said I would be reporting this to the ScamPulse.com and FTC and reporting the numbers.

I had Matt Reynolds (president of company?) call me last week requesting money from an unpaid debt which I already had a payment plan set up for.

Our conversation lasted about 10 minutes and consisted of us going back and forth like a debate. He Said he was hired directly by the Boss of the company he was hired for and even gave a name. I was hesitant at first for obvious reasons as I had a payment plan already set up. Mr. Reynolds resorted to disrespectful comments through out the call. He ended up cracking and hung up on me just before I was ready to pay. I think the breaking point was when I gave him constructive criticism after he told me he wasn't a hard guy to deal with.

I called my company that he was collecting for to verify it was a legit call. They have not heard of him or his company and verified my payment plan was set. This means they probably have all my information now, so I had to change my passwords. I informed the company they were collecting for that their network may have been compromised as he had a lot of details from my account.
