Farehutz poses as a travel agency on sites like travel.com. They offer discounted airline tickets. Nice “purchased” they email you saying you need to call them. On the call they say the flight is sold out and offer you a ridiculously upsold price (2-3x). When you ask to cancel the booking they claim the low fare means you can’t cancel. So you’re either stuck paying the extra or paying for a ticket you can’t use.

I threatened legal action and used some valid legalese, and they eventually cancelled my booking. But only after 40 minutes on the phone in a blatant bait and switch. Put them out of business.
