Travel services / business imposter Reports & Reviews (1)

- Phoenix, AZ, USA • Jan 31, 2025

Hey everyone, I’m ***** ******, an American filmmaker, and today I want to talk about something that’s been bothering me for months—a massive scam network targeting travelers like you and me. This isn’t just some small-time operation. These scammers have managed to infiltrate major platforms like Google, and Bing, setting up fake listings for airlines and deceiving people into calling fraudulent toll-free numbers.

I’ve personally been digging into this for months, filing complaints, collecting evidence, and trying to shut these scammers down. But despite my efforts, telecom providers like Bandwidth are turning a blind eye, possibly even profiting from these fraudsters. It’s time to bring this scam into the light.

How the Scam Works

Imagine you need to change a flight or check a booking. You Google the airline’s customer service number or find it. You call, thinking you’re speaking with a legitimate agent. Instead, you’ve just connected with scammers based in India, running fake travel agencies like Travelera LLC and Falcore India.

These scammers:

Charge hefty fees for simple changes or cancellations that the airline would normally process for free or at a lower cost.

Take your money and leaving you stranded.

Sell your credit card details, leading to fraud and unauthorized charges.

The People Behind It

1. Gurpreet Singh – India-Based Scammer

Runs Travelera LLC, impersonating real travel agencies with same name to avoid getting tracked

Uses fraudulent toll-free numbers to mislead travelers.

Opened fake PayPal accounts to process scam payments.

2. Falcore India – Another Major Player run by same guy Gurpreet Singh

Connected to multiple fake travel service operations.

Engaged in a similar fake airline scam, deceiving people worldwide.

3. Bandwidth – Aiding the Scam?

Despite countless complaints, Bandwidth keeps allowing scammers to use their toll-free numbers.

Could they be financially benefiting from the scam?

Their inaction raises serious ethical questions.

The Proof We’ve Gathered

I’ve been collecting evidence for months, including:

Screenshots of fake Bingh and Google listings

Fraudulent toll-free numbers still in operation.

Emails exchanged with Bandwidth, Acefone, and Inteliquent requesting takedowns.

Direct responses from authorities dismissing or failing to act.

Key Fraudulent Toll-Free Numbers Reported

(800) 349-9001 – Fake Delta Airlines listing.

(800) 482-0764 – Fake airline customer service number.

(800) 518-2718 – Fake Southwest Airlines number.

(800) 213-0807 – Fraudulent airline scam number.

(888) 618-8021 – Fake airline customer service scam.

(877) 230-4796 – Fake United Airlines number.

Reporting the Scam: Who Did What?

Over the last few months, I’ve:

Filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).

Contacted PayPal, warning them about scammers using their platform.

Reported numbers to Bandwidth, Acefone, and Inteliquent—only to see the scammers get new numbers overnight.

Tried getting Bingh and Google to remove fake listings, but they move too slowly to keep up.

Yet, Bandwidth has done nothing. That’s not just negligence—it’s complicity.

How Many People Have Been Scammed?

Thousands of travelers are calling these numbers daily.

People are losing hundreds or thousands of dollars to these fraudsters.

What Needs to Happen Now?

We need action.

Bandwidth, and other telecom providers must shut down scam numbers.

Bingh and Google need to verify their listings better.

State attorneys and law enforcement should investigate Bandwidth’s involvement.

Travelers need to be aware and verify numbers before calling.

Final Thoughts: Why I Won’t Stop Fighting This

I’m exhausted from filing complaints. I’ve sent evidence, detailed reports, and yet these scams keep running because telecom providers like Bandwidth look the other way. I won’t be silent anymore. If you’ve been scammed, speak up. Share this article, warn your friends, and let’s take these fraudsters down together.

Let’s make some noise—because if we don’t, they’ll just keep stealing from unsuspecting travelers.
