In early June I used kayak or Expedia to look at flights to Orlando leaving on July 5th. Today is July 3rd and I got a phone call this evening from someone with a thick Indian accent. He was very hard to understand but I finally figured out he was trying to say he was with my airline booking service and he wanted to confirm my reservation for the purchased tickets. He asked for $200 to complete the purchase.

I said no. I had booked directly with Southwest and knew this wasn’t “correct,” so I told him I wasn’t traveling and to remove me from his list and stop calling. He then recited my name and birthdate, as well as the same info for my son. He listed the correct travel cities, dates, and flight times. I have absolutely no idea where he could learn this information, but it was concerning.

I just opened my email and now there is a scam email, too. It lists “visa” as the payment, but the card number isn’t shown. It doesn’t ask for more money, but asks me to confirm the $550 ticket price payment.

I have no idea how these people could’ve gotten my personal info or if they really have my credit card info. Not really sure what to do. Ugh.
