This company is definitely scam , there is one person called German text you , he asked you going to has interview only Skype , not video or any phone interview , juts chat . They introduced company background, tell you good pay for this company , flexible hours . Than telling you next day going to has interview results. At meantime , he asked you many interviews questions about your personal information, like phone number , retired account and bank account . Next day they sent you offer letter . And told you that company is going to send you the check about $3500 to purchase Apple computer. And they send the check has your name right nor the day , want you deposit , and contact their vendor . All these are very suspicious. All are scams , I showed this interview person called German Catillo about this scam information , he stoped conversation . This definitely scam .

A person claiming to be Marc DesRoches, and an HR manager for a company called Thrive Networks, contacted me via text regarding a proof reader position at his company. He mentioned he had found my resume online, mentioned a good hourly pay and the position I would be interviewing for. He asked to be connected via Skype for an interview almost immediately, which made me suspicious.
Once on Skype, this person insisted that the interview would be done via the chat, not via video. That made me even more suspicious. He also greeted me as if I already had the position. He asked about my banking institution, my email, my full name, my cell phone company, and even what type of phone plan I was on. Extremely suspicious. When I found a scam post with this guy's name online during the interview, I confronted him about it. As a result, the person ended 'the interview.'

Someone claiming to be Marc DesRoches (a real employee of Thrive) contacted me via email, saying he had found my profile on LinkedIn. He also texted. I was a little suspicious, because usually companies are not so aggressive about finding talent, but I set up an interview time on Skype. When I got on Skype for the meeting, he insisted on a chat instead - all typing, no facial confirmation. Then, he started giving me details about the position as if I were already hired, which made me definitely feel it was a scam. I googled Thrive hiring scam and found this page, confronted him with a couple skeptical questions/observations, and he just said "HEY DOUBTING THOMAS, have a good day!" and left. Clearly, a scam.

I'd like to add to my comments from yesterday...this morning Marc Pantolino from Thrive sent me a contract and a W4 form. The contract looked official and Marc Pantolino is a real person, written up in Bloomberg Business Week. If you are even considering going with these people after reading the other commitments on here... Please don't bite! These scammers are getting smarter.

Is it possible to take a screen shot of the contract and W4 form? I'd be curious about what address they're using, as well as what's in the contract...

I just had the same experience. The interviewer used the real name of someone who works at the real Thrive Networks, but I did the interview and began to get suspicious when the English was really poor. Then I checked on here. Glad I didn't accept any offers of employment from them or provide bank details.

Last night, I got an email from Joe Bertolino from Thrive Networks, asking me to set up an interview through either WhatsApp, Skype, or Google Hangouts. I set something up for today at 11 AM through Google Hangouts. I was the only one in the Hangout, so I called "Joe" on WhatsApp. A guy who didn't sound like a native English speaker picked up the phone. When I asked if he was Joe, he paused for a moment and then said yes. I asked him if we were still on for the interview. He said he wanted to do it through Google Chat, so I sent him an invitation to connect with me through Google Chat. It took him a while to respond, which is when I Googled "Joe Bertolino from Thrive Networks," and found this site. I sent him the link to this site, which he claimed was full of "false statement." That's when I decided to end the interview and report him to the Federal Trade Commission.

Fake! I got the email from Joe Bertolini who wrote in all caps that I had a job. I was invited to a Google Hangouts "interview" which seemed really phishy. I actually attended the interview bc I was curious and it was a guy with a thick Indian accent who was texting me from the Google Hangouts under the name "Anna" or something. This is so fake. Avoid.

I got the same email from "Joe Bertolino" at "Thrive Networks." It seemed halfway legit, except for a few spelling and grammar errors. I gave them the benefit of the doubt also. But of course at the very end, they asked for personal information about banks, phone provider, etc. Total waste of 30 minutes. NO, you're not getting my bank information. BYE!

I received an email from a Joe Bertolino claiming to work at Thrive Networks. He said he recieved my information from Homebase. The email states its a work from home data entry position. He later followed up with a text message and said that if I reply to the text I will secure a position for $25 as an administrative assistant. I didnt respond to the email or text message. Instead, I looked on the Thrive Networks website. The website states that you will receive a phone call with any job opportunities and the email address domain will look like this: “@thrivenetworks.com." However, Joe's email domain looked like this: “@thrivenetworksinc.com” If you get a "job offer" via email from Thrive Networks please contact Thrive Networks directly to confirm.

This individual offered a work from home job including software and equipment sent to me. The fake name used in the chat session was Rosa Diaz, but then during the chat session he said his actual name was Dwayne Wallace. I went through the interview to give the benefit of the doubt, but when I insisted an answer as to why the name was different his response was "I think my answer is clear enough" which the response was "Rosa is a different person" He then claimed a different name Joe Bertolino when I asked a second time, which I had also noticed the email that was sent asking for an interview was from Joe Bertolino. Also, when I received a text message, they said it was Joe Bertolino. I ended the conversation when I could not get a clear response as to why so many different names. I quickly concluded it was just a scam nothing more.
