Type of a scam Travel/Vacations
Until I mentioned that we didn't have authority to release our timeshare, did a flag go off for us that this isn't our resorts request. The person stammered a bit at that comment and said she would talk to "so and so" at our home resort.
We have lost $5K to an Timeshare resale and rental SCAM>>>> that we "should have known better" then to do... as they asked.

I did do a quick search when first contacted by the Bendix Group in September, 2015 and found nothing suspicious. The company they were supposedly replacing and honoring all previous transactions from VP Services. I had researched VP Services and found they had a long list of complaints and had actually been taken to court for timeshare scams, but our resort told us that this was past and they were on the up and up now.
Lessoned learned the hard way.
Now we have 3 timeshares to sell. CHEAP!
