Teddy Munchkin Home Reports & Reviews (2)

My boyfriend wanted to get me a munchkin kitten for my birthday. I found a website called Teddy Munchkin Home @muchkins.company.com, prices of the kittens were too good to be true. I contacted the breeder, Teddy N. Shamia right away by text, regarding the kitten named Layla that I saw on his website. He responded right away and explained to me he will e-mail me all the information about Layla. I gave him my e-mail address right away. He then e-mailed all the information about Layla and the cost to purchase and ship Layla to me which is the total of $1130. Teddy mentioned that Layla is available and ready to ship within a few days after signing the contract form of agreement, and the adoption certificate. Being excited, I signed the forms right away and sent the money by Zelle, to his account. I then forwarded the details of the contract and application to my boyfriend. As soon as my boyfriend saw the documents, he felt something was off. My boyfriend searched Teddy’s web page to check its legitimacy. He searched for kitten scams and found a website that is like Teddy's website page called munchkinskitty.company.com. I noticed on munchkinskitty.company.com pictures that were used at Teddy Munchkin Home that has a familiar background in the pictures and the wording descriptions of the kittens. I felt worried, I contacted Teddy right away to make sure he was not a scammer. Teddy replied to my text telling me he was busy, and he will reply later. I kept calling him until he answered. He sounded frustrated and insulted that I called him a scammer in my text messages. When he talked to me, I could barely understand his thick accent with his improper English, asking me if I wanted a refund. I said no, I wanted to make sure he was not scamming me. I explained to Teddy that my boyfriend found a website that was similar to his website called munchkinskitty.company.com. Also, there was a website called “scampulse.com" reviewers would review it as a fraud cattery. He sounded shocked and upset. He requested to send the link to him. After he saw the link, he texted me and made it clear he was not involved with that specific site I had shared with him. After a few hours, Teddy said he will contact me the next day with the registration process to ship Layla. Saturday comes, I have not heard anything from him. Sunday, Teddy finally contacted me and explains in text that a shipping company (unitedsafeshippers.com) will call and keep in touch with me on Layla’s location status, and with a tracking number as well. I looked up the tracking number from the email, Layla has departed from Minnesota around 12:30 pm CT. My boyfriend and I expected Layla to arrive in Seattle at 2:30 pm PST. As we wait, I get a call from the shipping company, a rep explains to me he has sent an urgent email regarding Layla being held in Chicago. Claiming complications with shipping company stated in the email; shipping condition resulting in $1475 more in pet vaccine, crate, and pet insurance. they said they will refund back 95% of $1475 back into my account after the kitten is delivered. We believed we have already been scammed this whole time and Layla does not exist. I asked if I could speak to higher-ups about the situation on why I must pay the extra money and demanded to see proof of Layla in the airport, to see if she exists. The rep said “he will” but never heard back from the rep or Teddy.

Few days later, I found a picture from Instagram account called "catfriends1004" that looks exactly the picture that was sent to me. The owner of the pictures of the kitten were from South Korea. I messaged them letting them know that their pictures were being used by a scammer. The person replied saying" they tried to report the website but it doesn't work." Not sure if they are telling the truth.

Scam! Purchased a munchkin kitten for 1130.00. I should have know better. No kitten. When kitten "arrived" in Chicago United Safe Shipping which boasts 42k employees has one guy that will answer and tell you they need 1475 dollars to complete the transport because airport need a new crate and pressure vaccine
