I just wanted to get my boyfriend a Maine [censored] kitten; he’s always wanted one! Turns out I just lost $820 to Sunset Maine [censored]. I have never been scammed before, so I was too trusting. The owner INSISTED on only accepting payment through Zelle, but when that didn’t work she told me to buy prepaid Walmart gift cards and send me the pictures. Gullible as I am, I did it. Next she sets up the shipping through Optime Logistics and sends me the tracking number. They tell me that the owner didn’t a supply a good enough crate for shipping, so I would have to pay more. FINALLY, I got sketched out. I said I would be willing to pay upon delivery which, of course, was unacceptable for them. In total, I lost $820 which is quite a lot for a broke college student.

This happened to me a few days ago. I was devastated. I tried purchasing a kitten on their site but it was honestly all too good to be true. I only realized it was a scam because on their “shipping website” it says that they reply immediately but they would only ever answer me if the seller was emailing me back at the same time. When they stopped answering, so did the shipping people. They also tried to get me to purchase the crate but I refused. When I requested my money back on zelle he denied it. Wish I saw these reviews before.
