3/9 Sent email as instructed via the Facebook page indicating our interest in a puppy to rescue. Completed & sent adoption form. Made $450 adoption fee payment & set reservation date of 3/12 to pick up the dog. Received email on 3/10, the individual from the pet rescue was delivering 2 puppies in the city by us and offered to drop our dog to our home saving us a 4 hour drive. We agreed and paid $275 for the courier. Paid $398 for a pet carrier. Received website address of starlandcourierservice.com with tracking number 439697940. I went to the site and it showed our delivery was pending. There was also a map showing the route from the pet rescue to our home. 3/11 I received an email indicating the crate I requested was no longer available. We submitted $400 payment for next size carrier. Then I received an email from the courier company indicating we owed $998.99 for insurance. We were told we would get 98% of the money back for the crate and insurance in cash upon their delivery of the dog. We made the payment. I then received an email from the courier company indicating we owed an additional $2555.00 for a vet fee including shots that were given and for a custom stamp. We said no. We indicated they needed to keep the dog at the rescue. We then asked for a refund of fees paid to the courier since the delivery was not being made. We were told they would contact us with the name and phone number of their finance person. I then sent an email to the courier company asking for the refund. We didn’t receive the name and phone number of the finance person. We contacted the courier service again on 3/13 to request a refund and received a message back we would have to create an account and pay additional money, which we did not do. I was also told I would receive the street address of where to pick up the dog which we rescheduled for 3/14. I did not receive an address and there has been no further contact. There are saved e-mails, texts and screen shots, if needed. All payments were made through Apple Pay. We had phone conversations with both the person from the pet rescue and the courier service and I can provide the phone numbers. The Facebook page is still up yet no one can make comments. Also when clicking on the Admin button it shows 4 group names.
