I had a email from [email protected] telling me to go to the interview on teams for a admin position offered by richard gaius, i did we went over the position i accepted then after they started sending me invoices i asked why i would be responsible for purchasing equipment like a printer, file cabinet, safe, sorter and several softwares if it was going to be mine why would I need to do that if it would not be coming from them and I purchased it. He got angry when I asked and said I insulted him and I also looked up the person at the bottom of the invoice and it seems to be a deceased person. "Richard gaius" has now gone quiet since the confronting.

This person sent me an email and told me they want an interview on teams and message only no video which is very weird. He or she is impersonating a real person from this company with the name “Jacob Hanners”

Asking me to buy equipment

I was contacted via email from HR personnel at SODECIA. They stated I would be contacted via MS Teams with a link to HR contact. Interview would be done via chat due to high volume of interviews. I was not suspicious and went through the entire process including the final decision that I was selected. Then I was emailed by another contact (both of the people have valid linked in accounts- but may be hacked as well) presenting my “contract “ job description and request for signature of my contract and drivers license as well as an I-9 form. Unfortunately I did fill this all out and now they have my SS#. I found it strange and started to question myself too today (Saturday) as I was contacted again today with request to accept a check for 3K so that I can then “purchase my equipment from their vendor”. Once I would do that they would send me a link to their vendor. Obviously this is where I said this is now a scam!
