I received an email stating that my social security number has been temporarily suspended and to contact.

Below is the copied message.

Dear, ***********@gmail.com,

Unfortunately, your Social Security number has been placed under temporary suspension as a result of our investigation uncovering suspicious and illegal activities.

Your attention is required regarding the assigned case ID. (CaseID: SSA-34****82)

When connecting with our Investigation team, it is essential to provide the Case ID for accurate assistance.

Your cooperation is urgently requested as we require your support in every possible way to resolve the case expeditiously.

We greatly appreciate your support and cooperation.

I received a call from a lady who gave me her name and badge number and said she was from the SS Admin. and wanted me to know if I was aware that I would be getting 500.00 a month cost of living increase on my SS. I told her no and she said she only needed a little informations from me and when she said varify my birthday, I told her I did give information over the phone and before she had a chance to ask for anything else I hung the phone up. I knew it was a scam.

Received a call stating I had a warrant for my arrest due to my social security number being fraudulently used. Requested I press number 1 to speak with an officer.

Once transferred John Martin (with a foreign Indian accent) stated he was an officer with the department of Social Security. He stated he he needed my case number and since I didn't have it available he can pull up my file using my DOB, SS # and address is what needed to be confirmed.

When I had asked why the info needed to be provided as I had received the call the info should already be available via phone number, I was advised I was transferred to the legal department to settle the warrant that's for my arrest.

When I requested the "officer" badge number and credentials of city, state and what department he was affiliated with, the call was disconnected.

When calling the number back it rings and goes silent.

The scammer was a man that said he work for the SSA. He said my SSN was tied to crimes in Texas. I ask questions and a case number (CA54685631) so I could call the SSA back. He said that he would have to take criminal action against me. He got upset with me called me a ^(**(&(#$ and hung up on me.

He knew my name and address.

There is a foreign company that is posing as the Social Security Administration stating that my social security number has been compromised and has been used in a criminal activities. Unfortunately, I gave my date of birth when speaking to the agent. Then he begin to threatened me that I will be facing criminal charges if I did not answer any of their questions. I'd immediately became suspicious and hung up the phone. I have attempted to contact the number ###-###-#### and when asked where are their offices are located, the agent hangs up. I'm currently an identity theft victim and this call has further frightened me to answer the phone.

They call my cell phone from a number with the same area code. After answering the call they Do Not ask or state my name. Immediately state that there is false activity going on my s.s. number and I am supposed to contact them to find out details otherwise there will be legal action against me along with being detained. The caller says this with urgency and threatens with harsh consequences. I received two calls like this in a short period of time. After blocking both phone numbers I decided to alert the ScamPulse.com After the 2nd call. Lastly the caller' s voice sounds robotic and bogus.It sounds like a scam! Please inform me of any further details about this situation. Thank you and have good day!

Received a call from Ft Payne Alabama. Initial call was a recorded message in broken English indicating that if I did not speak to a Social Security lawyer that my Social Security Number would be cancelled. I selected the option to speak to a lawyer. The man who picked up the call asked me to confirm my name. I responded, “Bugs Bunny.” He then told me my name and asked if I realized that I was speaking to a government lawyer. He then asked me why I was calling. I responded that they had called me. He asked, “For what reason?” I said again, “You called me.” Then, he had some choice curse words for me and hung up.

It was a recorded call. My SS # was used in fraudulent activity and would be suspended if I didn't speak with an agent. To press one immediately to avoid suspension. I hung up.

I have been getting a Robo call claiming to be from the Social Security Administration for several days. I have hung up until today. Today I pressed 1 and and man with an accent which indicated that he may be calling from an overseas call center in INDIA.

The caller asked for my name and I gave him a fake name. He then said isn't this your name (My real name). I said NO.

I then told the man that he was a scammer and not with the government and that he should be ashamed of himself. The man then said that he was coming over my house and that he was going to shoot me.

Scammer has called from many different phone numbers targeting me over several days.

Was a recording and they stated that they froze my SS # as it had been used by someone in TX and they have been trying to contact me and if I wanted to heAr about this suit I could dial 1. I did not and just hung up.

I didn't answer the call because I didn't recognize the #. They left a message, "This is the Social Security Administration and we need to speek to you as soon as possible. Please call us at (443) 329-9039, I repeat, this is the Social Security Administration and we need to speek to you as soon as possible. Please call us at (443) 329-9039."

An automated message asked me to press one to speak with someone about my hacked social security number. They said there was "suspicious activity" involving my SS# and asked me to call 480-565-6032 to speak with someone. The give-away other than asking for my SS# was they told me to "have a blessed" day.

A robo called between 9am-1:pm 6 times on 07/21/2020. They hit my answering machine each time leaving a v-mail saying there had been illegal activity on my Social Security account and I should call them immediately. They would be suspending and closing my account unless I resolve this issue immediately and call them back at ************. I never picked and never called back. I just wanted to let you know so you can warn others. I reported it to the FTC already.
