Shelley Claris Reports & Reviews (17)

Just received the exact same email as "Bob", but about two dachshund puppies. When Shelley asked for a transportation fee, I knew it was a scam. Thanks to all of you for posting about this ongoing scam. How does one report her to the authorities?

Omg thank you for this! I was just emailing about two dachshund puppies from Craigslist and this persons name popped up on the email. I decided to search her name to see if anything popped up and seen her on this website for scammers. I’m so glad I didn’t give out more info.

She is now trying to sell Boston Terrier puppies. Same exact story. I almost fell for it, but was very leary and so asked for her info and told her i'd have the transportation company contact her - probably won't hear back from her. I really got leary when I got the email that they just relocated to Kingwood, Texas and the post was in craigslist for Portland, OR.

She tried to scam us for 2, 11 week old chihuahua puppies. Said to send her 500$ for transport fee and they'd be delivered to our door. I said have the transport agency email directly for payment information and I haven't heard back from her since.

Same thing with me here in Montana. Just found out she is in Texas. I told her 'what luck. My daughter lives in Texas and she can pick them up'. Just yanking her chain at this point. Doubt if I hear back from her.

I don't know why many people are in this scam, but I was talking with some people of the shipping deliver company by the name AMERICAN EXPRESSO SHIPPERS with Mikell Andersen with have indian accent, and supervisor Max. They ripped me with $1100. Make sure people open your eyes. If i pay you don't have to. I'm still emailing with Shelley right now she wants me to pay $300 for courts fee. ?. People be careful

Thank you to Scam pulse and serve this site to post about scamming. Please beware who encounter this Craigslist post about giving free beagle puppies. I came across this post few hours ago and it's sounds to good to be true. I sent her email and she responded. The email I received is exactly what the other complainer (Bob) received too.
I was right that this is a SCAM when she told me about how much is the shipping. I didn't fall for that. Remember anything involve sending money is a SCAM. What annoyed me is victimizing a good people who wanted to have a dog and their intention is true. Please beware and be extra careful . I'm sorry for the other who become a victim of this post.

Tried to scam me about a beagle

We're in Miami and came across her post just now. Seemed legit at first until she replied back that they had moved to Kingston, TX but if we pay a transportation fee to a "nearby pets transportation company" we can have the puppy. My Spidey senses were triggered and I Googled "Shelley Claris" and sure enough, it's a scam. Right now, I'm just messing with "her" and see how far I can take it before "she" blocks me. Sorry to the original poster who lost money on these scammers.

The same thing happened to me! Luckily I didn't send any money (nor would have) because I wanted to see the pups in person before keeping them.

I found their listing on Craigslist and it seemed legit. Messaged the owner and was told they were moving to an apartment and needed to give up the pups. Asked for me to answer a few questions so the pups go to the right home.

In the meantime, I'm looking online to see if it's a scam since it's too good to be true and came upon this site! Couple minutes later, he responds saying he's in Kingswood, Texas and needs us to send transportation fee to send over pups today or tomorrow. Pretty similar email to the other person on here complaining about this.

PLEASE do not fall for the trap. I usually don't write reports like this, but I figured spreading awareness about this is important. I was so upset after this because I really thought this was real and can see how people can give in. Another thing is, now I receive emails of other beagles available, but from a different email. Obviously from the same scammer.

I fall in trap, it's my very good lesson

Thanks to Scampulse and other who helped me to stay out of the scam. I am happy I did not loose any money !

Looks out for the email subject : my Beagle puppies...

Me too. She sent me the same email you received . Thank you for posting it.

Hi,I am so happy after reading from you.

More details on his personality.

-He is not yet neutered
-He is house and potty trained
-He eat 3 times daily
-He is socialized with kids and other household pets .
-He likes to be carried a lot and be spoiled.
-He likes to be kissed .

My husband and I have decided to give out this puppy to any one who is ready to take good care of him and we are happy you are willing to do that for him. All we need from you is your love for the baby. I really wanted to meet with you so you can pick up yourself but since you are not in our area and it's a distance of about 16 hrs ride on car i don't know if you will make up the ride to come pick up today or tomorrow. We just relocated a few weeks ago to Kingwood, TEXAS . Better still if you wouldn't make it up, he can be registered to a nearby pets transportation company and will be home delivered to you ok. All you will have to do is pay for the transportation fee so he can be home delivered to you okay. We are giving the puppy for free since they were given to us as a gift so all we want in return is just you to take care of him and send us monthly pictures so we can see his progress

HOW CAN YOU ASSURE ME THAT YOU WILL TAKE GOOD CARE OF THE BABY?

Shelley Claris was offering Beagle puppies free to good home on Craigslist. It would cost 440.00 to ship them and she would make all the arrangements. Money was transferred to her husbands account through ZELLE . Her husbands name Karl Burns his email [email protected]. Transportation arrangement through Amarex Pet Delivery. The next day Amarex notified me by phone asking if I had received their email. The phone number they called me from was 409 263-2714. The email was in regards to the crate. Shelley had them in a crate that was not sufficient due to the Covid-19 virus. I would need to be in a Thermal Electronic Crate. The fee would be 880.00 but I would receive a 95% refund once the puppies were delivered. This was also to be paid using ZELLE and paid to Amarex Sarah email [email protected]. The puppies supposedly arrived from Houston to Kentucky on 4-20-20 and scheduled to leave the next morning at 9:32 arriving in Jacksonville Florida at 11:06. At 11:38 I received an email from Amarex stating that the puppies needed to be insured before they could leave the terminal but again this money would also be refunded upon arrival. The cost of the insurane was 750.00 although by now I realized this was a scam so this money was not paid.
