I recently made my resume visible to employers on internet job searching sites such as careerbuilder and indeed. An individual contacted me via text stating that they saw my resume and wanted to interview me for a remote position for the the company Seragon Pharmaceuticals because of my background in chemistry and pharmacy. I was then asked if I could do a virtual interview via skype. I shared my outlook email which was not listed on my resume and was told I would receive a message from Daria Palestina. She proceeded to ask me typical interview questions via skype messenger and then later that day offered me the a position that she explained would be full time working remotely. She sent a letter with the job offer to my outlook email which I thought seemed legitimate. She then asked me if I would send a copy of my drivers license which I did. At this point she asked me to complete the W4 tax form which was sent as an attachment. I became more suspicious when the email address was an outlook email and not a company domain. I told her that I would not send any more of my personal information until I had confirmation from the HR dept about the offer and spoke with someone directly who could validate the information. Today I received a call from someone on a nebraska number (402-302-2843) who said his name was Charles Schwartz with HR. He refused to give me any company emails and said that all communications were internal via a company intranet. He eventually became belligerent stating that I was being accusatory and had taken valuable time from his day to call me. I then hung up phone. I received a call back from a legitimate representative of the company Seragon who stated no such persons worked for them after I had called and left a message to ask about the individuals who contacted me.
