Purchased computer maintenance/security Sept. 28, 2019. Got a call back that their company was closing down & they wanted to refund almost all my $$. Had me do some things on my computer & ended up transferring $5000 more into my checking acct. Then he tried to reverse it which emptied my acct. of his $5000 & my $8,000!!! THEN he would not refund my $$ until I went to Walmart & purchased. a $5000 gift card at which time he would then return my $$. That’s when I knew it was a scam. I hung up & called my bank who informed me that nothing was been added to or taken from my account. So it looks like the only $$ I’m out is the original purchase. “David” is a fast talker, rude phone manners, tries to talk circles around you...wonder if there’s any way I can get my purchase cost back.
