I spoke to a woman who identified herself as Sandra Marley and agreed to meet her at the house at 11 a.m. Wednesday. We went to the house. No one showed up. I called the number from which I had been contacted previously, 833-428-1720. A woman with a heavy accent answered and kept telling me to email our credit scores. I replied that we had already done so. After repeating this exchange several times, I asked to speak to Sandra Marley. I was cut off. I called back and was cut off again. I emailed Sandra Marley twice, at [email protected]. No response. A young man showed up and said he had leased the house and was living there. He had never heard of Sandra Marley and said he had dealt with a man named Steve. I don't think I shared any information that could be used to defraud us, but I can't think of any other reason for this scam. Maybe these people are just incredibly inept, but I doubt it. I emailed Sandra to tell her that I would report this to the ScamPulse.com and that if they used any personal info to defraud us, I would prosecute.
