I am mailing you copies of the correspondence between this scam site and myself, plus my attempt to make a response to the wrong done me and my husband. He is 86, I 75 and we are not technologically sophistocated. They posed as a survey by Sam's Club, of which we have been a member in the past. After completing the survey I was offered a "gift" for a cost of a solar powered flashlight with an extra offer of a solar powered headlamp. They arrived some time later in a mailer without identifying information of any kind. I pitched it as useless without taking note of the postmark as a possible way of identifying from where the bogus lights might have come. The boxes containing the items likewise contained absolutely no identifying information that would allow return of the items, or to allow any contact wiith the scammers. The places for the batteries to light the headlamp was not US sized batteries. The flashlight had an adapter with allowed 3 Triple A batteries to be used. The headlamp had no adapters at all--making it totally useless, as they well knew. It took a lot of time and thought for us to figure out a way to expose this outrage, but finally we found a copy of the original email. At that time I saw red light after red light that this was fishy to the max, but I had not noticed them at the first. I trusted Sam's Club, who likewise was scammed since they had nothing to do with any of this.

I called what I thought was the customer service number on the back of my credit card, but the numbers are so small I mistook the sixes for eights. You reach someone pretending to be Sam's club credit services, who then asks you to "verify" your personal information, name, credit card number and security code, address. I hung up, but the guy called me back multiple times from the second number I provided to try to get more information.

Spoke with a representative about my upgrade options on Sprint. Samsclub in store was not able to do a 2 year contract only ezpay and nothing was done. I left the store without upgrading a phone. 5 days later they ordered on my account 5 new phones under my accoung and shipping it to a different state.
