I signed a contract with All In Construction, Robert Mejia, for the repair of my deck and I gave him a check for $4,000 to be used for materials. Labor costs were to be paid on the completion of the job. For the next 6 weeks, Robert scheduled several start dates that were all NO SHOW with extensive excuses. I had paid him in August and after so many no show appointments, he said he would do my job in November. I requested a refund from him, and he said he could not get a refund on materials and threatened to dump them on the side of my road, when in fact he had never purchased any materials. He continued to make threats against me and refused to refund my $4000. He threatened me with an attorney. I sent him a demand letter and finally filled a Small Claims action against him. He was a NO SHOW for the first hearing and a Small Claims Judgment was finally entered in my favor against Robert Mejia dba All In Construction in the amount of $4,065.00 on January 29, 2024. He still refused to refund my money, and I spent the next year trying to attach his bank account and garnish wages. I recovered $2,646.48 from a levy on his bank account and have spent about $400 on Court and Sheriff costs. After almost 2 years, he still owes me approximately $2020.42.
