I posted an ad of Kijiji about a month ago. Rob Allan replied. I was looking for someone to level off an outbuilding at my cottage. He was knowledgeable and reasonably priced. All he asked was l e-transfer money for materials up front. The excuses started. The weather, his girlfriend flying in from Philadelphia. He spoke of others on his crew. Kyle and Bob. Early this week he told me he was finished. I went down to see the work. He'd never stepped foot on the property. I played along until yesterday when l told him l wanted my money back. Obviously he's not taking my calls now. Based on what I've read on this site, he's also known as Rob Monk.

I advertised on Kijiji to find someone to level an out building at a 2nd property of mine. Rob was knowledgeable and believable. He asked for money up front for materials. During our discussions he also agreed to build a fence at my home. I also advanced him money for this. In total he took me for $2400. After 3 weeks of excuses he claimed he was finished the job. Long story short he never stepped foot near the property. Wish l had of googled his phone number and not just his name. Also goes by Robert Monk apparently.
