Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group Reports & Reviews (11)

Scam employment, same as others reported, came by TEXT!
His name given was Chris Garraway, came from this number 847-221-6146
He got my info from my recently added CareerBuilder job seeker profile.
In researching, I came across this and also Sersa has a Scam Alert on their own website. Didn't fall for it...thanks for your help. Larry

Someone will text you and tell you to download a chat app to “contact my employer” who sends you through what seems like a legit automated interview. Congratulations, your a perfect fit, here are the terms. Paperwork, W-4 and such will be sent via email. Then they ask you to download a ton of different softwares. This automated response and where I questioned it the most. I asked “can you assure me this is not a scam?” His response “yes sure” nothing else. So I asked “is that it?”, no response. And that’s that folks. Not sure if I will receive an email by morning.

Look out for Thomas Wurster (literally means sausage maker in German) and Matthias Mono . Wants to convince at first glance but quickly falls apart when being asked to be on zoom chat, no personal interaction through voice or video, and then the blunt giveaway asking for stuff: checks sent to purchase your software and all that nonsense. Follow-up search for 'Rhomberg Sersa scam' revealed them completely.

Names to look out for:
Thomas Wurster
Matthias Mono

Even falsified image of Mr. Sausage Maker (literal translation from German of Wurster) looked like it could be credible, as does Mr. Mono's email.
Matthias required a zoom session but then only did the 'interview' through text on zoom. I asked to meet him through the video session but didn't get an answer. It completely fell apart for me when he started talking about checks for software to buy, even promising a laptop etc.

I should've know when the email says Dear applicant... then he asked what bank I use. He wasted 1hr of my day. I gave him my name, address, phone and email. I didn't give him my dob, or banking info, or social security number. This is just so evil to do to working single mother. Any one for that fact! Such a disappointment and a way to tarnish a company name.
He just got me.

I actually have been searching for a job and I'm getting multiple emails from the job posting results. This seemed legitimate to me at first. I went through the entire interview and they must be getting more advanced about this because I didn't see any really red flags until they said they would send me a check which I would need to deposit in my bank and then they would send me the links to pay for and download the software that I would require for the job. They first asked if I had a computer or laptop and then later said they would send me a computer. At that point I asked why they couldn't just install the software themselves but they insisted that they would have to send me a check and have me by the software from their approved vendors. At that point it was too similar to the deposit a check and then spend it and then the check evaporates kind of scams I've heard of. I was very upset because I had wasted hours on the interview process. That check they were going to send me must have been pretty big to be worth the investment of that much time. Their English wasn't perfect but I've worked for plenty of companies where a supervisor had English as a second language and it wasn't that surprising to me, having worked in IT for a long while.

But it never makes sense that a company is going to mail you a physical check, have you deposit it, and then have to spend that money in a way they approve..

I just really hate these kind of people!

Just got the same scammer email. My first clue this was a scam was that I didn't apply to this company.

Other red flags: the offer to pay weekly or bi-weekly depending upon my preference (no legit company plays havoc with its payroll), the jobs they say I am suited for (for the same $35.57/hour) are: Office Assistant/ Call Center, Administrative Assistant/Data Entry, Customer service/Payroll Assistant, Recruiter/Project Manager.

Bonus red flags: There is no such thing as The Bureau of Human Resources in the US, and whoever wrote the text took lessons in English but forgot or never learned the proper use of punctuation and capitalization.

Finally, a quick Google search proved that while Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group is a legitimate company, it is based in Austria (that's in Europe) and does not do business in the US.

I received an email from someone named Scott Douglas to download Zoom as soon as possible for an interview with Michael Demarius. The email seems sketchy from start to finish. The fact that they wanted me to download Zoom and contact them immediately for an interview seemed sketchy and the pay of $35.57 with work hours Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. seemed to good to be true. But what really made me not believe what I was reading is when they said you can choose between getting paid weekly or biweekly. And the job requirements weren’t even your usual job requirements. Plus they had no contact information, no telephone number or address which was really sketchy. So I quickly Googled the name of the company to find out that they are a scam company so beware of emails from Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group.

I’m literally got the same emails from the same exact people. Things seemed weird and my husband didn’t trust it so upon further research I stumbled upon this and it saved me from doing something stupid! I screenshot it and sent it to him with a lengthy message telling him off and he quickly deleted me without response

I have been actively submitting applications daily for over a week now to remotely work from home performing data entry tasks. I finally received an email to set up an interview with (what I thought) was one of the many companies I applied to. They required I download zoom and sent me the link to download. I communicated back and forth via email a couple of times over the next 2 days and finally had the interview. But instead of using zoom video, he text me the questions, and I answered them like that. Which was good for me because it was like 7 in the morning and I wasn't presentable for a video interview, plus it gave me a second to collect my answers to the interview questions without stuttering or delaying my answers. So the interview went PERFECT and I felt extremely excited and confident in my responses and chance at the job. And so did he it seemed. Then he had to converse with his team to review my answers. (Also, the job paid like $34/hr or something like that. SHOULD HAVE BEEN my FIRST clue....but I hadn't heard anything from any of my other applications and I wanted/needed it so bad to be true I didn't want to chance it if it really was legit) He comes back to messaging me on zoom via text, and says they're hiring me for a new position. I'll strictly be sending out payroll for $1,000 every two weeks. I need to go get versa checks with holograms and UPS envelopes, as many as I can because I'll be sending out 30 to 40 checks a day. He told me I had to go get the checks and pay for them myself and I will be reimbursed. So I called him out on it and said you guys are a multi-billion dollar company and you're expecting me to take money out of my pocket for something that the company should provide. I called him out on being a scammer and expressed gratitude for wasting my time. And then he deleted me from being his contact on zoom (which now had 2 identical icons on my phone? So I'm not sure what the other app of "zoom" has done to my phone or debit card information but it's such ****
