July 16 .A very strong message on how my social insurance number has been identified and I owe money and legal and prison action will be taken against me. press 1 for a agent I press 7 and a man came on with an indian accent. I told him to take me off this list. As I work for revenue Canada and its untrue. He told me I am a [censored]B and hung up on me. July 17 called me back I said the same thing and he hung up so far no more calls. However many people i know are getting these calls.

It was a recorded voice saying something like: "Hello this call is from the tax department of Canada revenue agency the reason behind this call is that there is a case a lawsuit that is getting filed it under your name the moment you receive this message I need you to get back to me on my department division number that is 506 800 8211 now if I don't hear a call from you we will have to issue an arrest warrant under your name and get you arrested so get back to me as soon as possible"

Both times I was told that I owed money and that my house was under surveillance and if I didn't respond to the phone call within 2 hrs. I would be arrested. I have also recently had emails representing bank needing to verify my banking information even though they are banks I do not deal with.

Received a computer generated message that I had been reported to them for tax evasion. And that they have issued an arrest warrant for me. Called Revenue Canada, and was confirmed as a scam

Recieved a phone call telling me I had to call the number back or I was going to jail for tax fraud. It was an automated message that had called me. It was the second time in one week the previous number was 1-289-919-5346. First call was from Ottawa and the second one was Hamilton.

A TAX SCAM MESSAGE, WAS LEFT ON MY ANSWERING MACHINE - MORNING OF JUNE 18 2018

THE SCAM RECORDING SOUNDED TO BE SAYING - PHONE XXX XXX - XXXX, NOT CERTAIN OF PHONE NUMBER -

RE, REGISTERED TAX FRAUD DEFICIENCIES, ETC.

Answered the phone call, machine on other side, asked me to call back this phone number.

If I don't call back, then I will be arrested.

The phone call was a recorded message claiming to be from Revenue Canada and that an arrest warrant would be issued if I didn't call them back. I researched the phone number and it was from Nova Scotia and a company by the name of Iristel Inc. I checked BBB about the company and found several negative reviews. I added my own review and received a very generic response from Iristel Inc. putting the onus on ISP Telecom Inc. Following is the review and response: Original Review:

At 11:57am today I received a recorded voice message from the following number 1-204-963-3437 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This message was representing themselves as authorities from Canada Revenue and that an arrest warrant will be issued if I do not return their call. This is not the first time this has happened. The company needs to be held responsible for the fraudsters and scammers that are harassing innocent people. The frequency of these calls or calls with a hang up has become more often.

Dear Mrs. ., Kindly be advised that I have verified this number in our systems and, although Iristel is the original provider, this number was ported out from our network in July 2013. The number shows as being in service with ISP Telecom Inc. Current SPID 4727, this is the only information I can provide you with. I am sorry to hear about this unpleasant experience, but there is nothing more that Iristel can help you with in this situation. Best regards,

Phone call from Revenue Canada asking me to call them right away regarding a serious tax Issue. Received first call with an international number V11712442200... and then 5 minutes later from the 613 area code being Ottawa. Definitely a Scam!

Called four times starting at 9am-1pm on a Saturday.....claiming they are from revenue canada. Myself or my lawyer need to contact immediately. I phoned back and surprisingly someone answers. I told them to remove my number and they told me to f....off. Funny never had a revenue agent spoke to me in that manner...lol. I don't have a block number feature. How do we make these underproductive scammers go away????

Automated message from Revenue Canada called my cell and left a voice message that a lawsuit has been registered against me and if I don’t call them back an arrest warrant will be issued. Caller ID indicated caller is Anonymous and that the call originated from Athens, Ontario

Left two voice mails telling me I owed money and needed to contact them asap to pay it. I have family that work for Revenue Canada who confirmed this was a scam. I did not return their call.

I answered the phone to a recording of a guy from "Canada revenue" stating that I'm under investigation and to call them back with a deposit on a outstanding funds owing on previous taxes.

Automated phone call identifying as Revenue Canada. Have a tax evasion, tax fraud,.. court case against someone in household. (Did not say which of us.) Gave a phone number to call 1-613-916-6024. Number belongs to Distributel Communications Ltd, Ottawa, Ont., Canada. Called my tax rep. who told me it was a scam, not to call the number, & Revenue Canada is aware of problem. Just wanted to give a heads up, as Revenue Canada is closed for Remembrance Day long weekend. Thank-you April.

This person called from 647-495-9533 saying I was being charged with tax fraud and it was going to go to court where I would be arrested. I called this number back and he answered Revenue Canada but when I questioned him he hung up.

I had a call saying they were from the Canada Revenue Agency saying I was being audited for Tax Evasion, etc and that I owed $5,796.00!

She went in and on asking me personal questions until I said this is ***  and I want your name and number so I can see if you really are a government representative.

She then said Mamn you can't speak to me like this and so on...so I hung up.

I do believe she might have been getting my voice recording of "Yes" to use against my personal information!!!

On my answering machine Aug 09 2017 I received a message saying there was a warrant for arrest due to Revenue Canada charges and to call the number to rectify # 226 210 1056. I did not call them back knowing it was a scam. The caller or recording had a male british accent. It may have been computer generated as the voice sounded so during the call back number part of messge.
