Fraudulent and harassing DME claims

I am a director of nursing for a clinic network and this patient received a call from Restorative Medical in Winston Salem, NC and told his provider was ordering multiple braces for him. He swears he didn't give them his medicaid information, but that they had it and knew his PCP.. We then received multiple faxes and pressuring phone calls demanding a signature from the PCP on Rx's for these items. I confirmed with the patient he did not reach out to them or anyone requesting the braces, and I confirmed with the provider that he did not need them and she did not order them.

I am an Office Manager for a large Orthopaedic Group. We had a patient that we received the attached 4 fax scripts. These scripts included 2 knee braces, a hip brace and a back brace. We received numerous urgent calls from this company for the Dr to sign and return these orders for this patient. Dr stated this s a fraud. When I called the patient he stated he had not given anyone his information. This patient is 81 years old and on Medicare. He has back problems only.
