I found a listing for indoor storage space on Zillow. I first contacted with RentMP through Zillow. I was sent an email from RentMP to set up a viewing. Through a combination of emails and texts, both from their office and an automated system, appointments were set up and canceled a few times. I viewed the property and was asked to fill out an application online while with the listing agent. Everything seemed fine until days later they denied my application based on rejected application fee. I asked to pay by check and requested a receipt. This when they started to be difficult to get in contact with. I paid the fee and then requested the application info again and background check info, which I initially was told I wouldn't need. I was notified my check was received and that the application was processing. It was now been a few weeks without any further contact. My calls, emails, and texts have all gone unanswered and I've tried all options of communication several times. So I guess is how they run their business. Collecting people's personal and financial information, accepting payments for applications, and then just disappearing without any response.
