Type of a scam: Identity Theft

I received four calls from the above number stating they were from Regions Online Banking. They said that in order to complete my online transfer I needed to enter my 6 digit code. It was an automated call. I do not bank with Regions Bank nor have I ever banked with Regions Bank. I called the number back after the 4th call and a lady answered the phone. She first informed me that regions never calls or sends out automatic messages to their customers or business people.I explained to her that I would call the ScamPulse.com and report it and she said hold on one moment, please let me see what I could do interdepartmental. After a brief interlude with Bank of America information playing she came back and said that all she could take care of it and that there was no reason for me to call ScamPulse.com if I keep getting the calls call them back. She also said that they had discovered who they were trying to locate. I have a 10 digit phone number, including area code, and for them to mix all the numbers up and figure out who it was they were calling, seemed like pretty close to a walking on water Miracle to me. She stated it was a misdial and they knew who it was and it should stop. Sounds like a scam to me. Thank you.
