I wanted to buy a shirt from a Youtube channel that I liked called RedLetterMedia. I did a search for merch for them and came across a website (https://red-letter-media.creator-spring.com/) that claimed to be the official site for the Youtube channel, but that is a lie (which I realized later after my order never showed up). I purchased a shirt on March 12th and was charged. A month later, the product still did not arrive. After realizing that I did not buy it from the real official merch store, but this one claiming to be one, I contacted their customer support on April 29th and was told "toward the end of January, we experienced an unexpectedly high volume of orders, which created a backlog with our new print partners. Unfortunately, this has caused some delays, including with your order." I was refunded my shipping charge and given the option to cancel my order. I asked for my order to be cancelled and to be refunded my full amount. I was told a request to cancel my order had been submitted but warned that if the product ships before the cancellation is approved, I would not be refunded. I did not hear anything from them so I contacted them on May 6th(7 days later) to inquire about the status of the cancellation. I was told that my cancellation was still being processed but, "Please note that when a reply is sent before the cancellation is processed, it may cause the ticket to lose its position in the queue and result in further delays. To help avoid this, we kindly ask that you refrain from replying until the cancellation is confirmed." It has now been 2 weeks since I requested a cancellation, and I have a hard time believing that it should take this long to cancel and order and that apparently I can't even inquire about why it's taking so long because that will delay it even further. By this point, it was approaching 60 days since the initial purchase, and that was the amount of time I had to put in a dispute with my credit card company. I contacted them (Chase - Visa) about the situation and they refunded me my amount. Looking at reviews for their website, it appears that I am not alone with being given this run around of ordering something that never arrived and then being told you can't ask about it.
