He called my husband cell phone number. He already had name,address,and cell number. He explained a winning of 8.5 million dollars from Readers Digest to my husband. He needed a new savings account at our bank w $5 to $10 dollars in it. He would call back at 3 pm. He called at approximately 5 pm. He was wondering why we had not set up an account. I,the wife, talked to him. He sounded American, from Washington,D.C. he stated. I called him a scam. He wanted to know how he could convince me of the call's $ 8.5million prize was real. I said i would speak w a women. She called back, but it sounded like a male trying to sound like a woman. I said her voice sounded funny. She assured me of her growing up in North Carolina. I asked if she lost her accent. She said had been sick and only worked at Reader Digest a short while. I told her to give money to next person and not call us back. At present ,no call back. I have tried to look up Readers Digest Sweepstake Winners.USA for 2023
