Through Angi's list, scammer contacted me 4/16/23 to do gutter cleaning project, He contacted me by phone and shared he no longer works with Angi but would come and provide me a quote/service the next day, 4/17. Scammer started the project was then suggested purchasing new gutter parts from Home Depot, used his phone and provided me a quote for parts which he would pick up and finish the project the following day. He requested a check for covering his cleaning work today as well as $700 for parts from Home Depot. A check was made out to this scammer, Raymond Silva-Leopoldo on my personal checking account with Bank of Hawaii. Scammer left my home, cashed the check at the Waipahu Branch of Bank of Hawaii on 4/17. The following day he left confusing comments about the check having insufficient funds, then followed by a call saying he deposited in his wife's account and there was a problem but he would seek his father for funds to purchase the materials from Home Depot. He has subsequently not answered any calls from me nor texts.
