they pretend to sell genuine water filters and these are fake chinese knockoffs 9/16/24 $69.82 a genuine GE refridgerator water filter they are selling fake products. who knows whats in them

GE-XWFE. Ordered 2 pack. Neither worked. Locked up water and ice despenser. I'll post a picture of difference between fake product and the original filter.

Purifymug is selling counterfeit GE refrigerator filters, model XWFE. The “E” stands for electronic, and there is no electronic chip on these filters. I had to call GE repair out and the technician pointed out the issue with the fake filter. The refrigerator wouldn’t even run with the fake one installed.

Product that was bought was GE XWFE water filter. I bought 3 and installed it to the and kept getting an error message on the refrigerator. Then I tried the second one thinking there may be a defect on the first filter. But I received the same message. After researching online I noticed I was not able to see RFID chip through the sticker. I then removed the sticker and there was no RFID chip. I went to Best Buy and bought a new one and compared the products. The filter I received looked totally different from the one I bought through Purifymug. From the ink color on the packaging to the stickers there were different color variations. I concluded that the filter from purifymug was not a genuine GE water filter.
