I hired Prompt Tech after they popped up on my computer to remove a virus for $155.99 from computer in 2016. I agreed to a one year service agreement (I have the contract) that expired in October of 2017. Today Promptech sent email telling me I was to be auto renewed at cost of $2000 unless I called in and cancelled. I called in and tried to cancel but he wanted access to my computer to "cancel" me. I argued with him that I NEVER agreed to auto renewal for $2000. He said I had and threatened me with all kinds of bank issues. He added I could go to Walmart and get $200 gift card and somehow he'd refund me on the gift card? I hung up and called my bank.

Here's what he wrote in email: "This is a final reminder email from Promptech for you to inform, that the contract electronically signed by you, under US Jurisdiction Law, with our company for the maintenance of your computer services has been expired, and it will be auto renewed in next 24 hours, for upcoming 3 years. Hence will be charged 2000 USD.
