I was looking for online work since I recently lost my job, and my daughter is still in the hospital (3 months now). My ex-employer sent me a work-from-home link. I clicked it, watched all the videos, read reviews and videos of others who have been successful, and decided to give it a try, especially since there was a money-back guarantee, and it showed as verified by the business bureau. I checked my email, verified it, and followed the prompts with the next steps: to contact a number to speak with a start-up specialist and coach to get me started. While speaking with "Julian" he asked very appropriate questions about my goals of working from home. I detailed my recent job loss and the reason why I felt that job security with my daughter's illness was a priority. As the conversation went on, I noticed he was prying, and I asked him why he was getting so personal. he said he was only trying to understand my goals to create my profile. I felt uneasy but thought I was being paranoid. The feeling I had did not go away and he kept prying and asking me to download an app so that "the director" could train me via screen sharing. I pretended to not be able to install it while simultaneously looking into the app. It said once installed I was giving him access to and the ability to control my device. When I asked him about this, he said that would only happen if I also installed the extension. Thank God I was physically sick to my stomach and with that, I listened to my instinct and told him I had to go. He stared demanding that I tell him why I had to go and when I would call back. I hung up. He called right back and said angrily that I had hung up on him and asked me why I did that. I hung up again. He called from a new number. Today, he has called numerous times from various numbers only minutes apart and I am now very afraid that he might attempt to come to my home since he has my address. I called the local police, but they said there isn't anything they can do. The job was posting links on various websites and when someone clicked using the link, I had posted I would be paid that way. I am afraid for my safety and also for my personal information. I will not ever be looking into remote work like this again. I hope these people can be tracked and stopped somehow. Who knows, they may be using the remote work to gain access to addresses for trafficking for all I know. This is scary and dangerous. I feel violated and threatened.

There are numerous numbers I can provide.
