Paid shipping to receive 'free products' only to find that apparently I missed the small print. They say I've signed up for ongoing product. $161 per month for face cream! Tried to arrange to send it back. That can't happen. Gave me 50% off this one and said I can cancel for the future. With other reviews I've found online, I'm not confident that I can trust either of these promises.

When shopping online for cosmetics a pop-up add can appear advertising a free trial for Nuvella Skin care.

You only pay shipping they claim.

Once you enter your info for the shipping charge you are automatically now purchasing another product on top and paying that shipping cost as well. There is no way to cancel.

After receiving the product (actually now two separate products in one box with no paper work or receipt)

I thought the transactions would be complete.

The product is not what promised or ordered and is clearly a poorly packaged product.

Over a month later i noticed two transaction from Ireland for a total of $293.00 from a unknown place.

I contacted the customer service line from the website now given on the CC transactions.

They claim that it was a free trial only for 14 days and then after you must pay $293 for the product already received .

No where did it claim this. The customer service rep offered me a 30% discount and then hung up on me.

Please do not fall for this scam and do not purchase Nuvella on line.

Purchased a skin cream online, using a credit card. This was a trial product for $5.49 - 14 days later was billed for $149.50 for a monthly supply which was never received. Phoned the bank who were aware of this company and indicated they would log the complaint as a dispute. Apparently deep on the website buried in the Terms and Conditions is a line which states that unless you cancel within 14 days they will start sending product on a monthly basis.

I was looking for a particular cream that Arlene Dickinson from Dragon's Den sells and found this article that had this link: />
The "Nuvella" link takes you to their website and falsely links her to their product and states:

"Claim your Exclusive Trial. Pay only for shipping."

I realized minutes after I ordered my "free trial" that it was a scam and called to cancel it immediately. They said my shipping label had already been created and I would have to wait until I receive the product and then pay to ship it back as well as pay re-stocking fees.

I was very fearful that they would charge my credit card so cancelled it. This company needs to be shut down immediately. My banker said she receives at least 5 calls a day from clients that have already had several charges on their credit cards because it took them awhile to realize it was a scam.
