American Debt Counsel contacted me by phone offering a Debt Validation solution for my unsecured credit card debt. They said it was a "Federal Program that eliminates debt"... And knew all my credit cards by number and payments I've made! A man named Mario Marcus went through an "application process" and collected personal information "for the Account Manager [Corey Taylor] and Attorney" to review ... to qualify me - which was guaranteed. They assigned me a Lawyer [Steven Lavern], whom I never spoke with and sent me a Contract which I did NOT sign. The contract included a $7,400. fee that they would collect - which would be charged to one of my accounts and then "eliminated" with the rest of the debt. There were a lot of RED FLAGS.
