I got onto my laptop one day, and a full screen popped up saying I had some sort of a virus, and to immediate call the number on the pop up. I called and was connected to a man with a foreign accent, India decent maybe. He said he was from Microsoft and could fix my problem if I let him route into my computer. Long story short, they said to send them a check for $100 some odd dollars and it would be taken care of. I didn’t send the check and when and had my computer wiped clean. I am still (at least 2years later) getting emails saying I’ll be auto renewed in their services for $2000 usd. I called the two numbers given in the email, both a total scam. They say the only way to cancel is to route into my computer again. At which time I will also be charged $100 to cancel the so called service.

Really wish someone could do something about these people. I got lucky, I know others probably did not!
