Company claimed to assist me qith a loan modification, I was to pay them 3 payments of $1297.00 (my mortgage payment) each month to start loan modification and that they would work with my lender Rocket mortgage because we were told they wouldn't do loan modifications hence why we went through Nation Wide Retention Center. They never communicated with Rocket mortgage with any of this nor gave them the money we sent to get the loan modification. We contacted Rocket mortgage numerous times to check the status or simply ask if any contact was made from Nation Wide Retention Center regarding the loan modification. They never did and warned us that this was a possible scam and that they wouldn't use a 3rd party for loan modifications. Originally we were 2 months behind on our mortgage, it is why we sought help. Now we are 5 months behind and out of almost $4000.00. We have tried endlessly to get our money back with no evail. Nation Wide Retention center claim that they ARE communicating with Rocket mortgage and asked us not to call Rocket ourselves. We call out point of cantact, a gentleman named Kyle, who's information I have given and he keeps stating he will have a conference call with us, him Rocket Mortgage but never does. We have called him numerous times asking for our money back with no evail there either. Rocket Mortgage has received nothing nor any contact from him or this company. The payments we gave they asked us to use cash and go to US Bank and deposite cash into a account that they provided. We have all receipts for the payments we made with the account number associated with company. Finding a solution or remedy to get our money back has been going on for 4 months now. We have had our home for 17 years and dont want to lose it and with the money lost its put us in a hardship. We work hard and struggle as is but we now have to struggle with being 5 months behind on our mortgage. Someone please help us and stop this from happening to someone else.
