I thought I was filling out an online passport application but was actually just paying this company to fill the form out for me and then charge me for expedited service. Now I have to pay again to file the actual application with the government.

This website was not clear that the fee I paid was only for filling out and printing the application forms. They requested almost $160 just to autofill PDFs for me that I could have written on my own. They did not make it clear that they were not a government site and were a third party organization. They now have access to all of the information that is needed to fill out a passport application, including sensitive information like social security numbers and passport numbers. They stay in their privacy policy that you can request to have all of your personal information deleted from their databases and I have done so, but I could not 100% verify that they are a legitimate service that will not use my data for malicious reasons.

My 85 year old father in law went on to this website to request a new passport. He paid $168, thinking he was applying for a new passport. He was only paying for a PDF form to fill in that he could then send to the passport agency to apply for his passport. They basically charged hin $168 for an editable PDF.

I was intending to apply for a passport, and when researching where to do it online, clicked the first thing that popped up, which was myusatraveldocs.org. I realized later that there is small print expressing that the site is unaffiliated with the government and their service does not actually provide physical passports, but the website is designed to be misleading, and I went through the whole process and provided information such as my SSN, name, address, parents' names and places of birth, and debit card information. I received an email confirmation/receipt, realized that I didn't buy what I meant to buy, and began to realize that a website I didn't know much about had all my personal information.

Portrayed themselves as a government website, took personal information including my SSN and charged $89 for a downloadable pdf for my passport application

I was trying to renew my passport. I went to this website thinking it was a government website. Completed the form and paid the fee. They emailed my form to me with a receipt. I went to the post office to have my picture taken & complete the form to mail it in. The staff there told me I was scammed as payment needed to be submitted with the form. I called my credit card company to make a fraud alert and get reimbursed.
