This is the message I received today

Hey (my first name and last name) We recently purchased your account from Brinks/Monitronics. Your account is scheduled to be reported to the credit bureaus shortly. Please call us at ***801-921-7379*** to resolve. ~Mountain Run Solutions. This is an attempt to collect debt, any information will be used for that purpose.

I called today Brinks and they assured me I don’t owe a penny. Account in my name was closed back in 2017. Left a message to let the information technology employees to investigate, because to me it seems that this company Mountain Run has stolen their accounts information.

Someone must take action about Mountain Run because it’s a phishing and they are trying to stole our money.

Never heard of this company and all of a sudden they send me a text message saying pay or else they will report to my credit. I was a customer of Monitronics and fulfilled my contract with them before the Brinks buyout. I was month to month with Brinks and have the proof yet Mountain Run Solutions still pursues with a we don't care, pay now vibe. Well, I'm not paying and I'm reporting you to BBB and Utah AG. Mountain Run Solutions are nothing more than criminal bullies.

Seriously, speaking to anyone at this company is a lesson in futility. Seemingly, their combined comprehension level must be similar to that of a 4 year old that just wants their cookie. They don't listen and are incapable of communicating anything other than their scripted lines. Vivint should be ashamed to associate with them and I will never work with either again.

I am going to file a complaint against this company through the Utah AG office, I suggest everyone else do the same thing, we can stop stuff like this in numbers. If you have not already, file a complaint through the BBB website as well. We need to put this fraudulent company out of business, they are ruining everyone's credit.

mountain run solutions randomly appeared on my credit report and allegedly I owe them $2,578. I’ve never heard of this company until I saw it on my credit (how do you owe this much money and not get a single notice before it goes to collections?) When I called and asked what this was they told me it was some alarm system company which makes absolutely no sense because I was living on my colleges campus when this account was originally opened. I’ve been disputing this for years and they refuse to do anything about it. As if my student loans weren’t hurting me enough, now I have this bs as well. Seriously this can’t be legal?

Service on 1 year then cut off now the say 2 year contract why would I sign 2 any contract if I was with them since 2002 disabled with no income .want me to pay a year for nothing. I reported that someone used my information without my permission and they added back to my credit account. I did not open or have anything to do with this account and i should not have to pay for it. I gave copies of police report and everything and the collection agency refuse to remove the said debt

Mountain run solutions are saying I owe them $1400.00 but when I ask for proof they said it would take 7 business days to email it even though he was looking at my account supposedly. He said it was through Brinks which I've never had. I asked what dates this service was provided. I told him that the dates are impossible because I had a 5 year contract with Vivint at that time. He stated that Vivint subcontracts out to monitronics. I told him that was a complete lie, I had just gotten off the phone with a supervisor at Vivint who had never heard of Monitronics or Mountain run solutions before and sent me proof that my account was paid in full. This company is a complete scam and ruining peoples credit to bully them into paying a fee that is not theirs to pay

Have you heard anything yet? I’m calling chase credit report since I have an account with experian through chase, but still a long way to go from someone answering the phone. This bill of mountain run solutions has been reported to my credit.

I recently was notified through my monitoring agency that I had an account that needed attention. I log in to find Mountain Run Solutions has put a past due on my credit of $899. When I called to find out who this was they tell me Brinks home security. I have NEVER had brinks or any security monitoring agency for that matter. When I demanded that they remove it I was told to pay the 900 and it would be removed. Well that is not happening. I filed with the three credit agencies that this was not my account and I am waiting. Does anyone know what else can be done? This company has no right to do this to people.

I disputed the charges to the 3 credit bureaus and was told this was a legit claim.
This is totally bogus. My credit score dropped 50 points because of this company. When I had monitronics, this company wasn't even invented yet.
Total scam.
When I asked for a copy of my contract, I was never told I'd get one. They just said I owed them the money but they offered a settlement.

I recently received a notice from Mountain Run claiming that I owe about $600.00 and threatened to report it to credit reporting agencies if it was not paid. Almost immediately the reporting agencies received notices that the alleged debt was in collection. Mountain Run stated that if I pay the alleged debt in full, the report to the credit reporting agencies would be “removed.” I spent a lot of time researching this and concluded that Mountain Run supposedly acquired the alleged debt from Monitronics, a company that I never did business with. When I demanded evidence of the alleged debt, they sent me a document showing outrageous monthly late fees. The “accounting” shows about $400.00 that was written off. When I demanded an explanation as to why they are claiming more than $600.00, they claimed that it is for interest and “collection charges.” I will not pay them one penny. If anyone knows what agencies are investigating Mountain Run, please let us know.

Mountain Run Solutions attached a collection report to my credit. I've never ever done business with Monotronics or Brinks and service address is in NC and I'm in Iowa. Contacted attorney General, BBB and US Finance. I will be sueing for fraud and damages to my report. We will be at 10,000 a day per days on my credit report. They are [censored] and frauds. Contact your local BBB and go after them. They need shut down.

I had the same thing happen. The Trans Union and Experian told me to kiss off. Join me in going to Brinks Facebook page and attack them for these practices. They are getting away with it and ripping off thousands of people. The only way to kill this kind of infection is sunlight. Go to their social media and expose them. I have 3 other people that have joined me on their Facebook page in calling them out for this disgusting scam. Make sure an future customer knows they do this and they will do it to them too. Get them on Facebook and Twitter, otherwise they will rip you off and they will continue to do it to thousands who cannot afford it.

Received an alert from Experian monitoring that showed me owing over $1400.00 to Monitronics for a bill I don't owe and also from a company that is also gone out of business. The company never sent me validy of the debt until receiving notification from the cfpb which is now filing an investigation. I sent a request to both transunion and equifax to dispute because this item was removed from my credit report back in 2014. They sent me the original contract on May 15th but this item was placed in March on my credit report the contract was and shows only for one year so how they are placing this back on my credit is beyond me. I paid Monitronics before they went out of business and canceled my contract. I have filed a complaint with the BBB as well

Chris Carter, CEO of Mountain Run Solutions in Orem Utah, is a fraud and scam artist. His company and employees (Emily Mendoza and Brian Fuller) are forging documents and attaching charges to fraudulent accounts with illegal collection activities. Chris Carter and his entire company have preyed on the elderly and unaware by blackmailing them into paying charges they do not owe. Please look up his criminal history as well as the history of those that work for him. They claim to have "valid" accounts but when pressed to provide proof of the charges they either do not provide it OR they have ( in some witnessed accounts)...FORGED the information with fraudulent contracts. The employees are abusing customers on the phone, have made incredibly racist comments and harassed elderly on behalf of Brinks/Monitronics and other companies. All of the above is substantiated with real consumers testimony and experiences that is readily available on the internet (check out the BBB for Orem Utah for this company Mountain Run Solutions)

Recently, hundreds of consumer names and details have been turned over to legal authorties who are now investigating this fraudulent business. Chris Carter and his entire staff will be investigated based on all the evidence that has been provided. If you have been victimized by this man and his company Moutain Run Solutions, please file all of your evidence with the Attorney General office for the state of Utah as well as the Consumer Fraud Divison of the District attorney office. It is important these predators are stopped for their illegal business practices.

I'm dealing with this issue right now. Horrible company is a fraud. ADT notified Mountain Run Solutions that balance of $600 from Defender Security is not valid.
Basically two collection agency had my last bill from ADT. Paid Apelles but for 3 week trying to reach Mountain Run and keep getting the run around. Spoke to a rude agent Kim who told me none of their manager can speak to me. Someone need to stop this company from the illegal practice they are doing.

I also recently found a collection charge on my credit report from this company. Go to all 3 reporting agencies and dispute the claim. They are fraudulent and should be reported. This is the second time I've had to do so. It was removed from my report before.

Mountain Run Solutions reported me to the credit bureaus saying I owed $ 1788 to a company called montronics-Brinks. We owe no such monies! We did have that company in 2013; however we moved that same year, notified them we were moving, and paid the account up to date. We never anything back from, never recived another bill from them. When we did call them ourselves we were told we had a zero balance. How Mountain Run Solutions can come up and try to get money from us in a fraudent manner for a bill that is paid and over seven (7) and a half old, I have no idea. When we contacted the credit bureau to find out about this, they contacted Mountain Run Solutions and was told we owed the money; but refused to send any paperwork or proof of that claim. How can a company be allowed to stay in business when they fraudently try and steal money from people???
