I trained, now they say they are sending me a single check for my wages and money for me to send to a vendor to have the equipment programmed and sent to me. For me to send the vendor money out of my personal account (after I deposit their check) to procure the equipment they are providing me for the job. That sounds like a scam to me. They say it is their companies requirement. I feel it is a scam. Please advise. 650 743-2866

I received a text that my application was received online, and I would be a good fit for the position of Data Entry Clerk and the starting rate would be $35/hr. I had been applying on LinkedIn for multiple jobs, so I figured it was legit. I responded with my email, per request. I received a "Junk Email" with only the job description which was spaced out and did not look official. There was also no address for the company PROGESS E COMMERCE TRADE COMPANY, no phone number for the company, no human resources, name or company title at the end of the email or at the beginning introducing who they were. I then received another text to proceed via text once the email was received on my end. The email was from [email protected]. I have been scammed before and this fell in line with what happened in the past. Be aware of scams. I hope this helps someone else.
