Individual said they were from Medicare Asst...he wanted my date of retirement off my SSC. The call was a 8:15AM, I told him I didn't remember date, so he asked for my birth date, then when I wouldn't give this information he asked for my SSN. Told him I don't give this out over the phone. I asked if this was a scam, he said scammers would ask for SSN first. He said my SSC would expire in 5 days. This didn't make any sense, he gave me a number to call back & his code. The number he called from isn't in service & Medicare doesn't have member numbers. I don't believe SSC's expire & told him this.
